Did anyone hear him on Desert Island Discs? (Quill?) He was good and interesting. I think it's repeated on Friday morning, (or via iPlayer).
Bowie's 'Let's Dance'; Pistols' 'Pretty Vacant'; U2; Beatles; The Ronettes' 'Be My Baby' (for his wife, Sara).
There's a cool easy version of hand in glove third fret capo.. look on youtbube remember Noel being quoted as "the Smiths didn't write a bad song"
As much as I love Noel and The Smiths (easily my fave band ever) they did write one bad song. Meat is Murder. Can't stand that one.
I'll see your Meat is Murder and raise you a Golden Lights. (Although this was a cover of course, so probably doesn't count). Actually when I saw Mozza in Middleborough a couple of years ago he played M is M and it was awesome.
He was going to pick Heroes but it was something to do with his wife which made him pick Let's Dance.
