Having finally managed to get my head around today's bizarre press conference and after reading the tweets of board favourite David Conn, I've come to the only conclusion possible: The name change is never going to happen and was never intended to. Think about it. No appeal has been lodged to CAS, maybe Ehab has just told his old man he's taken care of it? Maybe all this time Ehab has been popping his head back round the door of the FA's office and saying "guys, we don't actually want this". Maybe it's time we all take Ehab's approach and just let Assem THINK we're called Hull Tigers... Instead of printing 1904 leaflets we can just print fake newspaper articles referencing Hull Tigers, maybe drive his car round the block another time and prerend he's in Melton and just get on with it...
You've kept up with today's events right? It's embarrassing he was let anywhere near that press conference, whoever let him should be ashamed.
The Mail was contacted by Hull City late last night (Thursday) to explain references made by Dr Allam in his press conference to an appeal being made to the Court of Arbitration in sport were actually incorrect. The club says it will go through a process of arbitration with the FA.
It's just laughable. He insists on being heard but everything he says has to be explained afterwards by someone else. He's obsessed with being a man of his word when it suits but half the time he's just exaggerating for effect and letting someone else tell the truth later.
I think you're right TWF. I think Assem Allam has severe Alzheimer's and is a risk to public safety. Time to go in a home now you senile old buffoon.
