Also, there's a piece in last night's Evening Chronicle where it mentions Mick Wadsworth talking to Nobby Solano, who is currently at Hartlepool, about Nobby's coaching role with the Mags, and how he coaches the under-11s at the academy, which he does two nights a week and then takes the match on a Sunday morning.

Nobby says that there is a lad in his group, a tall, well-built kid, who plays centre-forward and looks the real deal even now. A new Carroll by all accounts.

Good to see Solano coaching at NUFC, along with Beardo. Beardsley has the right attitude when he says it isn't about the results for him with the reserves and kids, it is about getting them ready for the next stage. Beardsley also raved about Santon.

 

All good stuff. Hopefully we can keep hold of the 'new' carroll.

Always good to see Nobby involved with anything, he knows his stuff.

A little surprised we don't hear more about Donaldson who always seems to put in a good shift and looks like he could be the business.

 

I thought this, is there a chance he's the new Chopra though?

 

Think he's made of a bit better stuff than Chopra.
