Hello all, Tomorrow we see racing at Leicester and if the forecast rain arrives (starts middle of the night and continues right through racing) then I think we are going to see a racecard that cuts up more than a chocolate cake at a weight watchers meeting. The 3.00 is a race that really interests me and there is one horse in the race that I think is vastly overpriced with the forecast weather. Gracie's Games is two from two on soft ground (truly soft too as both were at Chepstow) and she has also placed on heavy going, and she has plenty of form in the book to suggest that she should not be 14/1 in this field. She ran a really good race last time out from a poor draw, she was slowly away and really took my eye in the way she raced throughout the six furlong heat. She travelled widest of all but still stayed on nicely to finish only 1 1/2 lengths off the winner. She has other form this season that would make her an ideal selection including the two wins at Chepstow and I think the bookmakers have her all wrong here. 14/1 EW shot.
Unfortunately the weather changed last night and the forecast rain seems to be missing the course, however we should get heavy rain this morning at some point. Anyone in London? Seems you have a weather warning!
we've got rain here in the big smudge nass. do you want me to carry a couple of buckets to leicester and pour it strategically?
No need now, they have withdrawn her instead. Hope the weather isn't too bad for you lot in London, otherwise I might have to do some flood risk work in the office
Don't worry, if there's more than 5 mil we'll be sent home early. I mean people say that we're weedy down here...but it's true! Last winter was great.
