That report just confirms what I have been saying about the 'big' clubs always getting the benefit of any doubt in the referee's mind. It's because of television that we also have the ridiculous seeding system in European tournaments and the World Cup. The chances of the small clubs or countries causing an upset are being reduced with each tournament.
spot on lets be honest a fifty fifty is easy for a ref 2 get wrong.....and all he got 2 do is say SORRY and it gets buried again Hampshire dude ......the seedings make me laugh as much as the cheating that's allowed 2 ruin the game.....what a joke its getting
To be fair to refs though their job is made almost impossible by cheating diving players who contest just about every decision. Have you noticed how all commentators say 'he won a free kick'. They used to say the defender conceded the free kick. Just about sums up the level of cheating.

That comment infuriates me when I hear it. Also makes you wonder if that's why the ref denied JDG a one on one opportunity against Arsenal the other night.
