The title sums up the article really, that is what we were lacking along with a striker. As soon as bardo comes inside it narrows the game, Solution buy a left back/ There was no organisation in midfield, people were everywhere, the finger is pointed towards bruce, what happened to that desire we seen left week. Malbranque goes wide to the left, he does nothing in the second half, the only time i seen him was when he was getting subbed, hes not a Left Mid, solution, buy a left footed winger. Untill we get those fundamental issues sorted, we will be embarrased by the likes of Fulham,Blackpool, Newcastle and West Brom nearly all the time. Its there to be seen, I would give Bruce the transfer window and if he doesnt sign those positions then were nackered for next season and its going to be same old same old. We sack him or hope he buys those positions and helps up kick on, its a massive dilemma for the board and its not as straight foward as it seems in terms of sacking him.
Personally I thought we played some decent stuff in the first half and should have been comfortably in the lead at half time. The second half is best forgotten about.
I agree Bardo should be playing at Right Back, he is a good player but we are playing him out of position. The only way it works is if we had an out and out left winger. We have been at our best this season when Bardo played RB and Ricco played LB (Villa Away). We need to sign a LB. We also need a left winger and 2 strikers. Were heading in the right direction football wise, we just need to stop going missing and build on the good passing play were capable of, Henderson could be a fantastic player he just needs more end product, its like he freezes and goes sideways and backwards when we know he is capable of scoring goals like he did against Wigan.
