    I do not specifically mean players signed on transfer deadline day.................

    I mean transfers into the Club of the sort of money and investment that would enable us to get to the next level ( more easily - allegedly --- although not in the case of Bury FC ).

    People may talk about the lack of a replacement for Eaves ( who wasn't 'rated' before he improved whilst at GFC - so - why not be patient and give Mandron and Jakubiak a fair chance ? )...... nevertheless, with the money that we've got (( or not got )), we are NOT, realistically, going to be able to sign anyone spectacular - or very much better than most other League 1 players--- we cannot afford to pay the wages - even if we had the money for a decent fee.

    We need to be realistic about our position and prospects - which, in all honesty, is in League 1. This does not mean that I am not ambitious - but- accept that, financially, we haven't got the money that is likely to make a real difference.....

    ........ so - where does that leave us -- well -- as much as I criticise Mr. Scally for his ability to put himself before the Club, he, at least, has kept us from following ( or in front of ), Bury.

    I was never in favour of appointing Evans ( for non football reasons ) - but I cannot deny that he is probably better qualified to get the best out of our squad than some of our previous managers. I'd rather see a manager barking out his orders - than a manager who just stands with folded arms............

    ........ that doesn't mean that, by merely barking orders, the players will suddenly become great !- they are what they are - League 1 standard - but, it hopefully will keep the players motivated to give 100% effort. Realistically this is as much as can be expected at GFC.

    Bury ( Chairman) was guilty of spending money they didn't have to get the promotion they couldn't afford - and have paid the ultimate price. Bolton nearly followed them. Other clubs- such as Brighton, Portsmouth, Coventry, and more, have been very lucky to survive.

    I don't like what we haven't got at GFC. I would like a 25+ a-season- goalscorer. I would like a better stadium. I would like, I would like, I would like !!!! - but it aint going to happen !....... I expect ( demand) 100% honest commitment and effort -- that's not too much to ask is it ?

    Don't worry - I'll be back to my normal self after I've taken my pills - or encountered the first person without commonsense today.

    Anyway, more seriously, I've said all along, why is Evans here, WE DO NOT HAVE ANY MONEY!....

    As long has he always remembers that, I'm not going to have a problem with him.

    you lost those on 28th February 2012 ( another one for your count )...... now explain this one ;

    In January this year, I succumbed to pressure and joined Facebook. I really had no interest in being 'on' FBook -- and I actually have NOT posted anything - I have had a bit of a look at some stuff that friends or family have posted. I have not given much on my profile - and certainly not uploaded my photo ----
    Yesterday, I get notified that my FB account privileges were being 'withdrawn.' - No reason etc !

    You probably didn't verify your profile, when/if requested. Maybe as you have already stated that you did not upload a photo, that might be contrary to their rules, unless the verification checks are completed at a later date. It's probably unknown to a lot of FB users but I believe they have a process where that have to be able to identify all users over time. I could be wrong but that would be my explanation of why your privileges were withdrawn, either that or they identified you as a potential terrorist <whistle>

    brb - as you know me better than most -- you'll appreciate that I'd rather be considered a terrorist than a fool ((( one day, I might have a go at both )))
