Im begining to really wonder what this 'nagging injury' is with Tiote.

He can't train with the first team, only the few solo training sessions, yet he was apparently 'touch and go' for the Stoke game which seems ages ago now.

Pardew today said that he'll miss this weekends game and probbaly next weeks too.

Part of me feels its gonna be one of those that drags on and he'll be saying this to keep the players confidence up, as with Ben Arfa...

Any idea what the injury is supposed to be? I know its something to with his knee...

Thankfully Guthrie has done well in his place, but theyre completely different players and we still miss all of the closing down, interceptions and energy that Tiote gives us infront of the defence.

Maybe he is getting sold and MA wants him fit and healthy so he can make a huge profit :bandit:

Can anyone remember how he was injured?

It wasnt during a match was it? Nothing was really made of it at the time...

Can someone point me to any evidence that players go for bigger fees if they're 'fit and healthy'? Its the worst conspiracy theory ever, Carroll was clearly injured and didn't play for the first month he was at Liverpool.

Tiotes clearly injured, he'll be back as soon as the physios find the sliver of kryptonite thats embedded in his skin somewhere.

I was only messing about. I am more concerned by the lack of our dark destroyer than him being sold. Although I do think he will be gone in the Summer

  11. If Tiote is sold I'll be pissed off. I'm sick of this being a trend with us. We could be on the verge of a fantastic season, and we have to ruin it by selling our best player.

I reckon he's on his way like. I would be more shocked if he stayed than I would if he left.

    I'll be gutted though.

Same as the Carroll story, injured this week but playing next week, injured this week but playing next week.

Nothing concrete though, obviously. We're all just very paranoid.

If this injury conspiracy theory was true, then why would Llambias and co keep Tiote out from the start of November (or probably earlier)? He's one of our best players, and we could drop points without him, so why keep him out far longer than needed?

This <ok> Carroll got injured just before the turn of the year if memory serves. What would be the point of keeping a player you want to sell 'injured' from October?

I hope we don't sell him. It's pointless selling the players you should be building a team around, but i just think some people are reading into it too much.

    Hope he's back soon!

Its complete madness. Carrolls injury (not 'injury', because he was injured) has nothing to do with his sale, besides maybe upping his fee because he didn't have December and January to lose any form...
