I guess, apart from cup games, we only meet up with Suarez & Terry four times per season and Chris Samba could likely annihilate either one of them.
I thought Samba has already been quoted as staying he was staying. Even though I would like us to sign him, I doubt he will be joining us for this season. Agree that we could do with someone like him though!...
Hughes was hanging about having discussions in Spain, France and Germany after the season ended - yet to see the fruits of this work. Samba is a great player but I'm put off a bit by his 'strike' at Blackburn. Left his team in the lurch (fortunately for us), went for the cash to a country everyone knows would be difficult for lots of reasons.
It's a limit (emergency loans excluded) to 2 clubs in the same season not in a 12 month period. If you remember when Fulham tried to sign Cousin from Rangers in January a few years ago FIFA blocked it because he's played for Lens and Rangers that season, but we were fine to sign him and play him straight away that summer without waiting for a random time in August that matched his last game for Lens. EDIT: I'm sure there's even some loophole in it that allows you to have more clubs than you should be able to if you're moving from a country with a July-Jun season to one with a Jan-Dec season or vice versa but I can't remember the exact details on that.
