Rather gutted by recent results, yet another Saturday ruined and this after getting excited a couple of times today. Funny thing is, at 2-1 and close to end of the game, i never actually felt safe, although i never expected to lose the game.

What is going on? We are now only 7 points off of relegation zone, i know many think we have no fears with regards to relegation but things can't carry on like this. Something has to change and soon!!

I think its about time Leadboots was dropped, jeez the guy is refusing to sign a new contract and yet is an ever present, i don't get it!!

We still seem to be lacking that cutting edge, for me, Priskin/Scotland should be sold and Sharp or Rhodes should be bought in. Not sure about Chopra at the moment, he has undoubted quality but is his mind on the game?

We all know about our defensive frailties and it still seems that we have problems, is it the defence or is it down to the lack of support from our aged midfield?

What do you guys think is wrong, team selection/formation or something else?

I am dying to vent my anger but have decided to go for a more constructive debate!<ok>

We all know what the problems are Spanish and we all know deep down that we are in for another season of struggle. You cant have a team packed full of geriatrics and journeymen and expect anything else! We did that under Keane FFS. This clown has to go before he gets us relegated! If I didn't have a season ticket I wouldn't bother going but if Jewell is still here at the end of the season I won't be going to PR to watch this shower of gutless ****e.

Even from my armchair I knew that we would not hang onto 1-2...............

A point at Nottiingham Forest would have been fine, but this is all wrong.

The substitutions seem to have been a factor.

Spanish I like this post but it just doesn't seem you, although it is a pleasant surprise.

There are many problems with the club atm, we have a lack of pace and width and a lack of younger talent. There's no doubt some of the decisions tactically by Jewell are very questionable, like continously playing Bullard in DM and playing the diamond even though teams appear to have figured out how to play against it. Also the substitution that really puzzled me today was JET coming on instead of say Martin or Wabara for Bowyer when we were 2-1 up or even take off one of the strikers instead.

I am starting to agree that I don't think Leadbitter should be in the team and perhaps should be sold in January, I think he is a decent player but I'm not sure his head is right atm and his performances for the past year or so has been pretty poor.

I've seen enough from Jewell in the transfer market, in the good run this season, the good form under him last year, his aspirations for the club to think we should give him at least until next xmas before we can really judge him. Clearly if a run of results continues like this for the next few months, some action will need to be taken, but I hope and don't think it will come to that.

Time to call quits on the diamond and call quits on Leadfucks time here. Can we please revert Edwards back to a winger. That is all.

Wrong tactics, wrong starting line up, wrong substitutions, completely Jewell's fault.

However, I find it hard to be overly critical of Jewell as he's only had one transfer window to bring in almost an entirely new team and it's no surprise he doesn't have the players at his disposal which he needs. As ptc said Jewell's aspirations are bang-on, he talks the talk in terms of what is needed at this club and we should give him the time to fulfill his aspirations because if he gets them right and brings the right players in I have no doubt we will be promotion contenders and will be treated to some sexy football.

BUT we can't continue playing the diamond when other clubs have clearly sussed it out. I fully expected Jewell to switch to a flat 442 or go 433 but it feels like he bottled it and went for what he saw as the safe option which would ensure we weren't hammered as per previous fixtures. I don't agree with this, I think 433 / 451 would have worked well. With the diamond our midfield doesn't offer enough protection to the back four and doesn't keep the ball well enough. Because there are not any options wide and our strikers seems to have stopped coming deep to pick up the ball we just pass is sideways and backwards and hump it long to two short arse strikers who can't do anything with it!

I expect Jewell will bring in one or two before Thursday's emergency loan deadline and I'm praying it will be a defensively minded midfielder who can protect the back four as that would mean Bullard can play higher up and Leadtwat can **** off!
