No surprises at Old Trafford then Where we just followed with the trend, No matter how much you try to dig in They´ll just wear you down in the end And 4 - 0 was maybe just a tad unfair Although they were a class apart, There´s always a danger the goals will roll in Especially once they´ve made a start And to have come away with even a point We needed to be at our best, While they had more than just a normal off day And in that respect we weren´t blessed Too many passes of ours went astray And too many passes of theirs, Cut straight to the bone and into their path Where they soon left us in arrears And gutsy as we were during the first half The feeling was, if they should score, It would be game over more likely than not And sadly that is what we saw But up in this league of two distinct parts These are not the games we must win, And saving our best for others to come Will be what will help save our skin. OTBC Have a good week all, Yours
Hi RBF, Bad day at the office, but no real surprises! If Johnson's earl cross had found Holt, it may have made a difference, it may well have stung United into stronger action! We dust ourselves down and go again next week!
As you say dave, it was a good chance, but I think we were up against the odds today, we never really reached the heights of last weekend, and we certainly needed to, to get anything there. A win next week will count for much more after all.
Well I'm content we ended honours even with Manure this year Still 8 pts between us and 17 th and another game chalked off
