Leeds United have sacked head coach Steve Evans after seven months in charge of the Championship club.
    .
Evans, who had a rolling contract until 30 June, was appointed last October and led Leeds to 13th in the Championship.

"Steve completed the job he was brought in to carry out," chairman Massimo Cellino told the club's website.

The hottest seat in football? Leeds under Cellino since he took over in April 2014

    Head coach
    Time in charge

    Brian McDermott* April 2014 - May 2014
    David Hockaday June 2014 - August 2014
    Darko Milanic September 2014 - October 2014
    Neil Redfearn November 2014 - May 2015
    Uwe Rosler May 2015 - October 2015
    Steve Evans October 2015 - May 2016

Horrible club, horrible owner, horrible fans.

Congratulations, you all deserve each other.

Their owner is a joke - God knows how he passed the supposed 'fit and proper persons test'. Not sure who would actually fail it - Pol Pot maybe?

He's turned the club into such a basket case that any manager who isn't completely desperate wouldn't touch the job with a barge pole (I wouldn't mind myself - work there for a few months and get a big payoff). I genuinely think Darrell Clarke did the right thing to stay with Rovers, rather than move there.

In many ways, it actually kind of impressive that they haven't imploded more than they have. Maybe this will act as something of a cautionary tale to those who think we'd be better off without SL.

Karl Robinson of MK Dons also turned them down recently before they went for dopey Darrell.

Quite why they are even approaching a Manager who failed at this level last season is a question worthy of consideration if you are a Leeds fan.

Here`s a classic example of how foreign ownership has seeped it`s way in to the life blood of English football and usually leaves a very bad taste in a lot of people`s mouths, especially managers, and yet they are supposed to have passed the acid test when it comes to financial and personal attributes. Someone`s telling porkies unless my thoughts are deceiving me or I could be even bolder and say that someone`s getting backhanders. Look at the debris left behind by these wastes of space and tell me there isn`t something terribly wrong with the way the financial aspect of the game is handled and if you want proof then just head down to Fratton Park and ask them.

It will be interesting to see how Aston Villa (damned Yankees) manage through their next minefield (parachute payments and all) and I think it will become clearer that we are now in a division made of two halves (them and us) divided by money and ownership and by that I mean that those managers that have to stick to the rules dictated by their owners will be put through the wringer. Football is starting to become like politics, if at first you don`t succeed get foreign money or bend the rules to suit your needs, or if all else fails - get Harry Redknapp to help out.

ON TALK SPORT last evening the subject of managers came up . Stubbs winning the cup and moving to Rotherham ... also LEEDS and how there is a very big list of English managers out of work and LEEDS will have no problem of applicants .. " take on the job ... get paid off" in a few months, so they have money to last another few years!!!!
