Just read this from the Sunday Express, as the title says I do think Bruce will be gone before November. He has done nothing really in the past year and although the two strikers wanting to leave the club had nothing to do with him, I believe that MON has an all round better man mangerment skills. Short will want to bring someone in let them assess the squad in time for the January window opens.

    Taken from the Sunday Express:

STEVE BRUCE is set to be the first Premier League manager to be sacked this season.
His job seemed secure while Niall Quinn was Sunderland chairman. But now Quinn has been replaced at the Stadium of Light by US owner Ellis Short, the writing is on the wall for Bruce. Martin O’Neill is already believed to have been approached to take over at the struggling club

Yer right... With The Express being so well respected for its indepth research into these matters it must be true eh!
Seriously though, I wouldn't take anything that this lame excuse for a newspaper has to say seriously...If he is gone by November, it will be solely down to an unacceptable run of results, and nowt to do with inside knowledge from this rag.

After what he's got away with in 2011, it wouldn't surprise me if Steve Bruce was here in 2030! I've never heard of a cat with more lives than this bloke. Lerner is trying to balance the books at Villa in pretty much the same way as Short. If MON couldn't get along with one, I really don't see him getting on with the other either. I've no problem with O'Neill, as such, but it just doesn't add up to me.

I'm with MrRAW on this - the Express is just chucking out what we thought a week ago, i.e. without Quinn, Bruce was a gonna. It hasn't happened.

I'm with you RAW on this one.

Its a toss up between the Daily Express and the Daily Snail as to which one is the most vile, lying, ignorant piece of right wing biased political horse ****e on sale in the UK today.

If they told me it was Sunday today I'd have to double check first.

It is quite possible that Bruce will be gone by November but MON is certainly not the man I wish to see at the helm. However, if he is appointed I'll support him until he fails or falls out with Short and spits out the dummy. Moyes is the man I'd like to see at Sunderland should Bruce leave.

What we need is someone who will motivate what we have, because its what we've got for the forseeable future. In pole position has to be Bruce because they are his men. I cant think of anyone who can plat this crap into a winning unit, can anyone on here?
