I'd still be suprised is Gally left given what he's been thorugh recently and from some of his recent tweets. Would be sad to see big Sol leave but he's just not a Pearson type player.
I'm not sure Gally will have much choice .. looks like he'll be on the bench at best and I'm not sure that he could deal with that given his personality ... Marshall, Danns, Drinkwater, James, Wellens, Dyer, King .... I'd put them all before him if fit ...
I think Gally will stay now. His brother in law has already said he isnt interested in Ipswich. And hevwas tweeting Jamie Vardy welcoming him to the club and saying he will see him in pre season. Maybe after the sad events in his personal life he has had a change of heart and wants to stay. He is still a very good option to have. I dont think Nigel would want to get rid of him either
If they can offer him a first team place, it not exactly a long haul from Leicester to Ipswich. €1m for Bamba? whats the exchange rate? doesn't seem like much to me
I would want 2-3M for Bamba. The mercury has got it wrong anyway. The article says they have agreed terms with Bamba worth 1M but they havent agreed anything with the club
Nugent exceeded my expectations ... still not convinced about him as an out and out centre forward but he did contribute a lot in overall terms Schmeichel - had a very good solid season and think he is up there with the best outside the Prem (irrespective of what some Leeds fans think!) Danns - a revelation when moved to his proper position in central midfield - more of that please Marshall - bit of a cameo at the end of the season but hopefully more to come Morgan - think he will prove an absolute steal for the money we paid
This smacks to me of a paper needing a story to fill some column inches so they take two rumours that have been touted recently and write an article. Don't think the Merc have told us (or indeed know more than us) at this point.
I wouldn't be bothered if either of them left, tho Bamba more so than Gallagher, cos i just don't rate him at all, and im still hoping to see Wellens take the exit door too, but i suppose if i have to put up with him being a bit part player and coming off the bench next season, at least that will be a step in the right direction
