I am being honest, and cannot see any progress made this season from last, or the 1st year with Keane (lets forget Sbragia time).

Keanes 1st season up, we survived with something like 4 games left. Last season, we survived with like 8 games left.

This season I think we will survive with 2 games left.

Bruce has dragged us back. I was never a fan of him, but gave him a chance because I love Sunderland.
I admit, I thought he was doing a good job in x-mass, though I knew Europe was out the question.

My problem with Bruce is, he is terrible at tactics, he has no clue. You watch a match, and half the time you think...WTF? Why make that change? Why start him?
Bruce is so frustrating, it is crying out to have experiance in the team!

Also, what does Bruce do to our players in training. Does he kick them to s*** to get them injured.
Finally his transfers are baffling at times. Angeleri, please why did we get him. Killgallon, Riveros, selling Jones, not buying a left back, no left winger. Not buying a striker (even on loan). We are suffering because of him!

HOWEVER, I don't blame him for Bents departure, nothing he could of done there.

I will get behind the team on Saturday as always. I would never boo my team. But if we lose, then Quinn - BRUCE MUST GO.
If we win, the BRUCE must go in the summer as we will not progress with Bruce at the helm....

Get a grip. Bruce aint going anywhere, he's just signed a new contract. Support the team or GTFO.

Supporting SAFC is not the same as supporting the manager.

Having supported SAFC for nearly 50 years and seen some managers who were left in the job far to long, when they were clearly not up to the job. We have the right to question them.
Telling someone to GTFO because you disagree with their view on the manager is pretty harsh.
But when you have a pop at players it will be ok is it?

Personally I think Bruce's tactics and decision making have been rubbish all season. (And the end of last!)
The lads played out of their skin against Chelsea, the rest of the time we were lucky get anything out of some of the games pre Christmas.

No need for that mate, he's entitled to his opinion like you are. Bruce may have just signed a new contract, but that doesn't make him bulletproof. You have to admit, he's sailing a bit too close to the wind when it comes to the fans support of him ATM...

Whole-heartedly behind what MackemsRule said : telling another fan who cares as much about Sunderland as you do, but happens to disagree on a detail to GTFO is just not on. As for contracts, they're not worth the paper they're written on these days.

I don't agree that we've made no progress - some of the players here now wouldn't have dreamt of stooping so low as Sunderland in the past. But every club, no matter how good, hits a problem sometime in a season, and I just don't feel Bruce has the adaptability or imagination to cope with that. He had no answers last year, and none this year either.

The season isnt finished yet and if we win a couple of the remaining games and finish 10th then you cant argue that Bruce has done what he said he would do and finish top ten, which either way you look at it is progress

we were 6th for a while an everyone was optomistic, we had thoughts of a good season,
it's still not over, but everything is in place to push on,
now that's progress, from where we have been...

What a lot of ****e you talk. How ****ing old are you pal? Like we're not allowed an opinion unless you agree with it, is that it?

The same thing happened last year over the winter. I like Bruce as a bloke but I'm afraid he's lost the players or so it appears.

Top ten was the remit at the start of the season and I still think we can achieve that but we've still blown our season from where we were 8 or 9 games ago.

Grow up, this is a forum for everyone to voice their opinion not just you.

    Thanks mate.

I'm not against Sunderland and never will be. I may only be 22 and deffiantly not been through as much heartache as some people, but when we perform this bad, and players are talking about relegation then I think it only points to Bruce.

I am a Sunderland supporter, and wants whats best for my team, and I know, as many other people will know...Bruce is not our man.

Surely the whole point of such a board is to question and opinionate? If you can't do that then we may as well all GTFO! What a ridiculous post.

GET A GRIP YOURSELF MATE you really must be deluded if you think that the new contract was signed without clauses attached, Ellis stated he wanted security, where are we a dog fight, lose the next one and he will be gone. sorry to be abrupt

So you're only 22. Well, I'm over three times that but age-ism (in either direction) is a heap of crap to me. Your heart's in the right place and that's what matters. Keep posting mate.
