Not of direct interest, I know, but as it's important to keep them below us, it is relevant.

Curbishley says the board do not match his ambititions for the club.
    Warnock has gone to Leeds.
McDermott has signed a new contract with Reading.
Poyet will cost too much in compensation.
Walter Smith has also declared he's not interested.

That seems to leave them with Steve Bruce or Ray Wilkins. Hmm.

Would you really want to go to wolves at present transfer window has been and gone so have to try and stay up with what mcarthy had at his disposal, also would you take it now that all the people they wanted have turned it down i wouldn't. Dave Jones might tho <whistle>

How about Dorus as player-manager? If he's not going to play, he might as well do something useful instead.:emoticon-0105-wink:

lmao...but surely you have to play to be a player manager...saying that if he picks the side it will probably be the only time he will get some game time.

I have no idea why Lee Clark hasnt been linked with this job yet!!

I'll happily do it and for free. With Wigwam looking fcuked and me taking Wolves down the Swans only have to worry about 1 other team and Bolton look well dodgy

Tell you what Dilli, I've got two "Big Ron" style sheepskin coats, we'll go in as a management duo. Both for free, surely they can't turn us down with coats like that?

They've given the job to their assistant manager, Terry Connor, until the end of the season.

Smacks of "last resort" to me!

Think Lee Clark could well be a front runner for Wolves, good manager, though saving Wolves from the drop, will be a very big call!.................. <laugh>

Been a coach there since 1999, was also assistant manager to Mick McCarthy there. Just hoping for 3 points tomorrow.

Sometimes the man managers are your best option rather than technical coaches (not that McCarthy was one of those). Look at the job MON has done at the Mackems. Not a great coach by any means but gets his players to play for him.
