As he was supposedly impressive recently - and is not even in the squad - is there more to it?

    Pending an offload?

    Not fancied?

    Game/salary bonus?

Or just Cairney favoured for the attacking midfield berth?

He was being touted to dislodge a starter... and now he isn't featuring.

Last week Oli was due to start to give Evans a rest. Evans got the rest anyway so could start. We have a big game on Tuesday as well, he maybe saving Oli for that.

He'll be saving him for a seat on the subs bench. As much as I'm a fan of Oli; Evans had an absolute stormer today and can't be replaced. Has to be the same team against Birmingham, I'd fancy us to sneak it 2-1 if this was the case.

A stormer? Including that awful ball that dropped us in it in the first five which made Chester commit a foul for which he should have been booked? I just don't get it with Evans and wish I could see what others see. I don't see it though. I think we have better players in that position at the club

It is just you Im afraid - Evans has had a great season so far. Dont forget he is young - he should learn from the small mistakes he can sometimes make

I think it was the repeatedly great balls for Fryatt and Brady to run out that most people saw. I don't get how anyone couldn't say he didn't play well, he didn't get the ball as much as usual but that was because when he had it he looked forward rather than backwards and started an attack.

One ball in particular to Fryatt in the first half, curled it round the back of the defender with the outside of his boot and it took a brilliant tackle to stop Fryatt going through on goal.
