Exactly, but I think both a frightened of being cold-shouldered by the Allams again, so they will probably sit on their hands and do nothing.
Well this gets to the heart of it. Our local media know how to get hold of Duffen and will no doubt have tried. But I’ve yet to see a solitary quote from Duffen in many many months. Is the Duffen bid is largely a concoction of Ehab Allam’s fertile imagination?
I’ve been of that opinion from the start! He’s been in cahoots with the Allams for a couple of years now!
It did actually say “one” of the bids. Wasn’t there a second interested aprty after the Duffen group?
I think from memory there were 3 bids allegedly although the Sportyco bid has been rubbished since .. i think someone maybe able to confirm the second bid had something to do with U.S. based consortium .. although like the Allams i could be making all this up !
I understand that they seriously did expect to sell the club before Christmas and Ehab's bought a house elsewhere (which he's annoyed he hasn't been able to move to), as he's fed up of all the nasty Hull people being mean to him.
In which case he can give it away and **** off to somewhere he's not hated... the Antarctic will probably do although those penguins will probably suss him out quite quickly
He will probably want to change the names of the various Penguins . Chin Strap and Emperor are Waaaaaayy ! To long a name you know !!
Can’t see how that adds up. If he really wanted to sell, why didn’t he just... sell. That’s entirely within his gift and he didn’t do it. It’s adding more fishiness to an already pretty fishy situation I’m afraid. Ehab is a man that would rather lie than tell the truth, simple as.
.... Just like his old man said they would do. Although he also said £1. Either way, give it away or sell for £1, just do it like promised. " I never go back on my word, never". Lying ****s.
I don't know if this is worth anything, but the words of Paul Duffen when I interviewed him in 2016 (when everyone thought a sale was imminent) keep ringing in my ears: "They want to sell, they intend to sell, but they just don't know how to sell a football club." I have no idea whether this recent attempt by Duffen was real or not, but I do know that he'd do anything to be Hull City chairman again. Richard Sutcliffe at the YP - who seems closer to Ehab than anyone in the media - also seemed convinced that the offers and intention to sell were genuine. As OLM hints at above, my guess would be that Assem - who has been a bit more visible in recent months - had his fingers all over this. But that is a guess. Nothing more.
