Would this not be the ideal time to sell? Team is heading south again with the same Cap'n. Stock is falling following each game. An apparently keen outside interest but for how long if we continue in our downward spiral. Methinks they must be meeting now at the middle ground: a time to sell before its too late - time to buy in order to rescue club in current league and then set up an ambitious programme for a return to the promised land, full of middle Eastern promise in the eyes of the potential purchasers at least.
I doubt I've got the same source as you, but I've been told the majority of the deal will be done over the upcoming international break (quite a bit has been done already), with a new manager coming in on completion and an intention to strengthen in January. Which is obviously pretty good.
Look lads, we aren't going to be sold to anyone. There's no one mad enough to pay the asking price. I won't tell you again
I think that's been true for a long time but the difference now is the money has all dried up and owning the club is only going to become more of a liability the longer it's left with no impetus. I think it makes perfect sense that they do finally want to sell now.
The only concern is saddling us with a bunch of debt gambling on promotion and failing and doing a Derby.
I would hope that doesn't happen. Getting a good manager is the most important thing first of all, then the next step would be to improve the squad.
My concern is nothing is going to happen anytime soon which is the most likely outcome. I’m still not convinced a sale imminent is just the usually spin fed out by the club. I wouldn’t worry and jump so far ahead.
