Chris Errington writing in the Heraldsport column says that... 'John Sheridan is not looking for anymore players'. In fact he says that he has got too many.....without regular reserve football it is not possible to keep them all match fit. With Marvin Morgan now fit and in regular training it looks as if the search for a striker isn't so important as it was. Reid needs a partner up front to be at his best.......will Morgan get his chance to be that striker.....he did look promising before he picked up his injury not long after arriving. If the Reid/Morgan partnership doesn't work out.....I will be back to the old question of where are the goals coming from ? We have been hoping the answer was Banton....but it isn't looking that promising as yet.
Seems to me that any other players out there are no better than the players Sheridan has now.. I think the squad now is what should keep them in the top half..
I can't see the point in paying anyone else right now either to be honest. Playoffs look a long way away and relegation doesn't seem to be an issue either so it's pretty much season over now. Save the pennies for the next term.
Sheridan believes the playoffs are still a possibility so come on Marvel Marvin lets see what your made of!
You wouldn't expect Sheridan to say anything else would you hp. Don't think he really believes it anymore than most of the faithful. You will always get the terminally optimistic but they don't count. I watch them every home match and trust me it ain't happening.
