So yet another pathetic transfer window from the Arsenal. Our only signing is an emergency left back who would've never been brought in had Gibbs not been injured.

For a long time now some fans have sought to excuse Arsenal's regression, and Wenger's management to money issues. It's been argued that due to our move to the Emirates and a tightening of our finances, compared to the other big clubs, this inevitably led to where we are now. The same fans who made this excuse said that money is available now (example, Piskie) and that Wenger should be judged when the money is there.

Well, the money is there now, this is not under any dispute, Arsenal's finances are well and secure, and we had the available funds to go out there and splash the cash and make some well needed improvements in the form of signing up to 3 players.

But alas, NOTHING of that sort has happened, remember, had Gibbs not been injured, we would've made ZERO SIGNINGS. What this all goes to show is that it's not really a money issue, money or no money, it's always going to be the same old sh!t story with Arsenal under Wenger who refuses to get off his stubborn greedy a$$ and make a strong move in the window. Let's not bring up the rubbish excuse of oh Wenger tried but couldn't get it done, what a load of horse ****, that excuse is worn out and I doubt most people even believe it. How come when it comes to transfers, it ALWAYS seems to be this club that struggles badly in obtaining their targets?

Nobody can argue that this team didn't need improvements, EVERYONE AGREED that we did, and everyone KNOWS we have the money, so why wasn't anything done? Will those who defend Wenger STILL MAKE EXCUSES even THOUGH HE HAS FAILED ACCORDING TO THEIR VERY OWN CRITERIA (when money is available) or are we going to have to hear a load of other excuses?

I can already see the excuses, oh but we signed one good player, yeah, tell that to yourselves if you think that makes the situation better.

This club is a joke, or at least this club under Wenger and this board, as things currently stand, is a big big joke.

What do you mean calm the **** down? We needed new signings, more than just a LB and did nothing.

We have been told that money is now available so we can spend, that we can now take the shackles off. Yet nothing happened. Same old rubbish story with Arsenal, it's not about the money, and never was about the money.

Other than Villa and a DM, name who we could have brought in. Barca rejected our bids btw so it wasn't as if we didn't bid.

I think our slow 8 year regression from the best team in England to the 4th or 5th best has allowed some fans to forgive us being 20 points behind United. It like an old man slowly going blind and not realizing until he can't find his false teeth on the bedside cabinet. Goonercymraeg knows what I mean :)

We've signed a Spanish international LB but according to you he is an emergency signing. He is such an emergency signing that we'd originally agreed to buy him at the end of the season anyway

    I would've highly prioritised a DM.

As for naming names, I don't have to name them, I'm not managing AFC on a 100k weekly salary with the best world scouts! Wenger and his team know who's good enough out there.

As for some names, heck, here you go, for DM position, M'villa, Diame, that's just 2 alone.

M'Villa is overrated as he'll, and I would have liked Diame but we didn't get him.

So one signing is all we need?

Dude are you that pathetic? You HAVE YOUR OWN POST saying we need a new DMF, and a new CB, yet you keep going on about how we signed one LB. YAAAAAAAAAAY like the only thing AFC needed was a new LB, stop playing silly PLZ. The depths you have to go to, to persist in this PR positive spin is so pathetic, so the one LB signing is your reprieve, yeah, only in your mind.

Diame apparently had a £3.5 million release clause in his contract but no other PL club wanted to use it.The only PL club who showed any interest in M'Vila was QPR.I think that says it all

Yeah, we didn't get him, even though he was dirt cheap, and wages would've been no problem. But that sums us up, we didn't get him, we failed to improve a position that needed improving, we currently don't have a SINGLE natural established DMF available right now.

Even when Arteta comes back, we will only have 1 natural DMF at the club, in COQ, who's out injured, and who isn't even that good.

We don't need a new CB and if you are suggesting we should have gone for Samba just stop.

Yes, because I'm sure M'Villa is the only DMF out there in the world.

As I said, I don't have to name every single player, i'm not a paid scout, nor am i a paid manager on 7 million a year.

Wenger and his team know who's who, and they decided to not get a single DMF even though we don't have a single natural DMF available to us right now, and the only available natural DMF we do have when fit is Coqualan, you telling me Wenger and his team couldn't find a better DMF than Coq?

Gooner thought we needed a new CB. So therefore, he shouldn't pretend that one new LB somehow absolves this transfer window, as he's trying to do with his PR spin right now.

Socyou are advocating buying for buying's sake. Coq doesn't start so he shouldn't be the standard used in judging a DM, and secondly not all DMs in the world are good enough to play for Arsenal.

In case you haven't noticed I'm TheOXOCube:5pur2 not Gooner and I didn't think a CB is a priority at the moment.

Where did I advocate for the sake of buying? I BELIEVE WE HAD TO BUY TO IMPROVE THE TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND I BELIEVE THERE ARE BETTER PLAYERS OUT THERE THAN WHAT WE CURRENTLY HAVE!

Now you can live in your world and pretend that there's no better options than Coqualan, I'll stay in REALITY WORLD ok? You stay in your world where Coq is the best DMF in the world and the best option for Arsena.

And just to make it more clear for you, EVEN WITH ARTETA, we STILL NEED A NEW ESTABLISHED DMF.

But NAHHHHH Arsenal don't need anything really, it's fine for the most part, sitting in 6th, 20 points behind the leaders, no no, off course we don't need signings.

Yeah, you're OXOCUBE, you don't think any new players are a priority, you're the guy who thought we were still in the title hunt when 12 points behind United, or as you said at the time, "it's only 12 points", yeah I know full well who you are.
