What is peoples general opinion of this front 3? Is no striker the way forward?

When we play with a striker the striker is left isolated, but with this 3 the AM's have no issue running ahead and scoring. How does this happen!

Klopp says Firmino is a striker who can play midfield rather than a midfielder who can play as a striker.

    For whatever that is worth.

No - a striker like Sturridge will thrive with Firmino and Coutinho behind him.

Firmino is a natural number 10 and can certainly chip in with goals. But Sturridge has that quality to put away chances and make those runs in behind the defence.

I agree 100%, problem is how often is he going to be fit enough to play?

Probably not that often which is why we need to sign another striker.

If only we had £32.5m to spend on a more suitable striker ...

was just listening to radio 5, they were talking about how Carroll does not fit into west ham style of play and they are better without him etc, I was thinking everything they said was also true of us and Benteke. Yes he has quality and yes he will score some goals but we are a far better team without him.

Carroll is shocking and you can see the difference in West Ham when he's not playing.

At the end of the day, Benteke is not a bad player - he's just not the right player for us. Yes, he's scored goals for us but analyse how they come about and more often than not, it's not how we want to play. We only have to look at he fluid our attack was against City to see how much better we are.

Benteke was clean through and completed messed it up.

I think Carrollis alot better and more versatile than people think,he's just very injury prone and it has damaged his game.

His attitude and lifestyle doesn't do him any favours either.

  20. Newcastle don't play the same way as they did when he was there. The likes of Joey Barton and Kevin Nolan have moved on too.
