http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/9604815.Adkins_rules_out_additions_to_Saints_squad/ Nigel has confirmed he doesn't feel we need any more loanees for this season. Given our strong squad if we could get someone who would you like to see? I personally would trust Nige and stick with what we got but if push come to shove would only take a keeper as back up to Super Kel.
Completely agree! We have great players for every position, all good enough and most will play a part GK: Davis/Bialkowski RB: Richardson/Butterfield CB: Fonte/Hooiveld/Martin/Seaborne/Jaidi LB: Fox/Harding LM: Lallana/Falque CM: Schneiderlin/Cork/Hammond/CHaplow RM: Puncheon/De Ridder ST: Lambert/Lee/Sharp/Guly/Connolly/Barnard Looks a strong squad to me!
Honestly, we have more than enough players at the moment; with even Seaborne returning to health as a potential fourth CB, I don't see any area that needs additional cover, nor would I disrupt things by bringing in someone who would be expected to go into the first team.
I like looking at that squad and being comfortable with most of them starting, I would like to see us already promoted come last couple of games so Rhadi, Connelly and a few others who might not shine in the bright lights can feel the thanks and support of the home fans one last time.
Saints would only need loans if we were desperate and last time I looked at the table we were not desperate. Nothing should be allowed to interrupt the esprit de corps that we have now. I think we actually have more than we need in this division...if we go up, Nigel has some hard choices to make.
A quote from one of the replies to the article. I thought it was quite funny: "Huge career problem for me this morning I'm afraid. I've been going to bed thinking about Saints, waking up thinking about Saints - and spending most of the day thinking about Saints. Now, my boss, the Head of CERN, where I'm helping to find the Higgs boson, has phoned to say: "You're slacking. Make up your mind. Tell me now, what do you want to do? Unwrap the mystery of time; solve all the huge enigmas of space and infinity; disentangle the riddle of bending light; reveal all the great secrets of life itself and prove definitively, once and for all, that the higher they get, the fewer.., or occupy your mind with the staggeringly trivial and meaningless affairs of that football team? Oh well - didn't really like the job that much anyway."
Lol. There are some Saints fans with brain cells. Maybe they could replace the few on here that are a little short
He is for a couple weeks only tho ... So Jas will probaly be out for West Sham but should be back for when we play you!
Roberts is out and Afobe is not that great, did nothing against us last season and looked way out of his depth against Fonte. Just seen you said 2 week, good luck with that. He won't play again this season.
Your game against West Ham is your most important one that's the battle for 2nd! Oh and Roberts will spend the whole game at St Marys in Fonte's pocket. He might get to admire the Adam and Rickie show though
Thought his injury hasn't been made public knowledge yet. According to a few Reading fans on the hobnob Reading site.
@JonnyFordham Roberts is having a scan on his hamstring tomorrow, McD optimistic about injury and said not as bad as first thought Heard a rumour as well that he should be back for saints ... It's not confirmed by the club yet tho
