Phil Neville is a boring twat, bet Sky are glad they got the other. **** me he needs to be on ITV with the other numbskulls Adrian Chiles and Andy Toolsend.
Can't understand why we give up the midfield to the opposition when we have speed and skill up front to burn. Controlling the midfield with the speed available beyond seems to me to be the best way for this team to shine but as usual we fall back and defend badly which puts us behind the usual eight-ball. Midfield dominance might even give a shabby defence which falls apart under pressure some respite but yet again we become the boring predictable England. Has anyone told our coaching crew that the game has changed over the ages but we still stick to the same old format. Still a chance to win if we stick to the basics, based on the squad out there, and don't fall back looking for my predicted 1-1 draw.
Rooney is **** as well ****ter than Gerrard training for the week should be tracking runners and crossing the fooking ball I'm going to bed,
Well actually it does a little We played well, and looked like we belonged at the World Cup. I thought our central defenders looked fairly ok against such high opposition (aside from the Balotelli goal), and Rooney needs to spend the week putting the ball in the net. One goal by Rooney and he could still explode at this World Cup There are a few glaring items which must be addressed over the next week, and frankly it is surprising that they weren't ironed out during last week, or even during the game. Rooney HAS to play in the hole (or not at all). We MUST shore up our flanks, and that means from the front. Enter Lallana ! I would rest Gerrard second half and let Wilshere run the match with the impressive Henderson (sorry Shiny but you who have championed a similar style of player all these years in Elliott should be able to see what Henderson brings to the team). Henderson is the future Gerrard for our team. I would rest Welbeck (who I thought had a good game) and play Lallana on the left with Sterling on the right (because they are both at their best in those positions). That was the original plot so I thought Hodge bottled it by leaving Lallana out in favour of the tough tackling Welbeck (!). Damage limitation, and a worrying move by Hodgson because it left our team outgunned in midfield and vulnerable down the flanks. And now we are facing a mountain lets just hope it brings out the very best in our side, and shows us all what we know its composite parts are capable of
