Very sensible of Nick Barmby not to rush into playing Josh King at Reading. He cannot be anywhere match fit and we have a settled squad. Is the. Club really saying that we have all that we need, I have read the HDM report and still came away with the thought that Nick is happy now, but will still do a deal, for the right player at the right money. Mixed messages or just me. Either way it's good news.
Im surprised Nick hasn't said never say never ! As the window closes who knows who he might be made aware of ?
I guess Barmbys as thick as a brick then... He's just confirmed in an interview with Humberside that King will indeed travel and be part of the squad for Reading. He'll probably make the bench and come on in the 2nd half.
For me the message it loud and clear from Nick. City have money to spend and will do so IF the right quality player is available. Unlike the last regime, whatever NB/AP are planning they are keeping it well hidden and so they should. Far to many leaks in the past which have proved costly. Even IF nothing happens in Jan the emergency loan window opens up on 8th feb. until mid-march. No rush but i dont think its 100% certain yet Mel U. Trust in Nick.
