    I stated in July that I thought BATES would sell Max at the end of the transfer window and then Simon wouldn,t have time to spend the money he would also state that it was in the best interests of the club that we sold Max now has he wouldn.t sign a new contract so I'M NOT SURPRRISED OR EVEN SHOCKED WITH THE LATEST NEWS bates TRUE TO FORM

    I think the lad is good and bad on his day he is very good and then he,s offa very mixed up individual but he has a talent nonetheless .I still think this french thing is a smoke screen to get price up from West Ham Forest ANDLEICESTER bates playing his usual tricks

    How can this french club afford to pay Max more than us when their capacity is only 20000 what is going on!

    They are no longer after Gradel, we rejected their bid of £2m and that's that for them.

    So Bates somehow persuaded Sochaux's chairman to come out with a public statement saying his club had made a bid for Gradel, even though they weren't actually interested, and the intention of this ploy was to attract interest from our Division Two rivals? An unlikely trick to play, I'd have thought.

    Becchio...... we will sign thta useless Forsell and that will be it a bid in Jan and he will be gone...

    no im not sure...but what is the plan with the two players who have contracts that run out in the Summer...

    im sure the advice from thier agents will be wait and hold play well this season and you will get a bigger contract and a fat signing on fee from another club...
    if you cant see that then.....

    What message does the handling of Beckford, Kasper, Kilkenny, Johnson and now Gradel send out to the other players. What message does the lack of quality coming in and investment send out too? If you were a hot young player and you were playing for a club that 'seemed' to lack ambition in the transfer market and the moment you wanted a pay rise you were shown the door would you sign a long contract? I am getting fed-up with a few thinking loyalty is everything, winning things and money is all that matter to any football player.
