Going to watch Reading V Wigan To me that is a cop out big time, you are unpopular with the fans a chance to break the ice and bond, build bridges etc etc But no you go watch a match and only announce it last minute Puts JJ in a spot when or if people ask awkward questions
To be fair - I think going to see Wigan should be prioritised. I get your point about it being a way to change opinions, but the fact he knows little about the league/opposition this is probably for the best. Not that I believe this was the clubs thinking.
Minutes from tonight's VIP meeting. http://www.castrust.org/2015/02/richard-murray-i-believe-roland-to-be-a-good-long-term-owner/
Nice work Dicky. (Plumb not Murray) I notice a few questions were dodged and KM played the lawyer protecting her client well. That's it then- Roly is long term!' And who asked Tony Watt if he is a sexual monster? Ffs no wonder that Guy Luzon swerved the meeting.
Katrien Meire rather impressive and dealt with questions v well and took responsibility. Several 'lies' put to rest. Absolute categorical assurance that the head coach has sole responsibility for team selection. And it is becoming increasingly clear that she did not lie about the appointment of Luzon. When we beat Wigan on Friday night, we will jump into the top half of the table and perhaps that will help some supporters to calm down a bit.
I am not as convinced as you Kent that she didn't lie. Just because she says it, doesn't make it true. She is a Lawyer after all. A poster on CL that was at the meeting called it a farce and a waste of an evening.
Nope - still some bull **** amongst that, with pre prepared answers. Half way through I was starting to get peed off. Not good at 6:30am.
Well said Dick. The gullible and naive Bovril brigade just love to be seen agreeing / rubbing shoulders with rich and successful people. Serial underachievers with inferiority complexes which manifests as "arse licking".
The tale of Roland telling her off - oh Katrien. The oldest trick in the book. And murrays final input was hysterical. Bet he squirmed when KM said not to expect premiership football for the next few years. If we stay up, that's 3 years back in the championship, telling fans that remains the objective for the foreseeable future will turn people off.
A couple of comments from fans at the meeting last night: Total nonsense of a meeting. As soon as I walked in you could see it was another tactic by the club to deflect away from tomorrows meeting. So after yesterdays get a 15 year old to ask the CEO questions we now have a Q & A with the CEO Chairman and Head Coach with the the Head Coach not there (not bothered on that point), the Chairman arriving about 30 minutes into the meeting and a whole list of other people. That would still have been ok had the presenter for the night restricting questions to ensure all guests were asked questions, which lead to some pretty pointless questions like the following:- Is the pitch a green carpet or is it the bests pitch you have played on Who is responsible for choosing the club colours Diego Poyet won player of they year last season from halfway through the year, can you (Tony Watt do the same) The other guests would have been great at another occasion in fact you could have 1 Q& A a month with specific questions for a certain subject such as the Academy and the club might start making money (increase revenue KM) but it was a clear case of deflection from the real issues at hand. It was quite clear a large enough number of the people in the room are happy with the current situation and quite happy to shout those down who feel differently. The VIP deal has been a shambles from the start to finish, even with the 10% discount I will still be down in the deal. In the main it does not bother me, what gets me is being assured by letter and in person by Steve Kavangah I would not lose out, then having RM last year being very flippant about us who lost out and now this year being asked you can have half back via a season ticket discount what I have lost or it can go to a charity. Just be straight with me would be a start Covered End was a star and really tried his best, who even when asking about staff being told who they should pick from the owner to the South London, the presenter steeped in and asked KM not to answer. Jacko was brilliant and he understood more what the fans are going through than anyone else on the panel Total waste of an evening And... Just stunk of A) KM almost angrily, by the end, putting it to us that Roland does what he does from where he does, and that's that.. she's a link between them him and us and we have to put up with it. Got a wee bit heated near the end, Katrien obviously heating up a bit as she started cutting short a man's (well articulated) few tiered question, quite rudely I'd say, on more than one occasion which was a shame as it would be nice to hear the question in full before a response. RM turning up to the meeting half way through and jumping in when he felt necessary. All the people there unnecessary and were only there to diffuse the attention from KM, it's not as if people can prepare questions for them if they didn't know they were attending until they turned up. JJ spoke well as ever and made Tony Watt feel a lot more comfortable than without him, not really Watt's scene unfortunately, should have let him go a bit earlier to get an early nights kip, as he's only been here a few hours in footballing terms and was sitting there amongst a heated debate on the way our Football Club is being run. A Discredited ex Fans Director and Brown Noser of the Decade had an alternative view, however.. Thought wrong. We important people got a full projected budget for the next ten years, Roland's private number and a laptop with a film explaining his vision but of course we can't tell unimportant people that : - )
I challenge you to find me saying anywhere that I agreed with those who said she had lied about the managerial appointment or that I subscribed to the view that anyone other than the head coach picks the team. Dozens of people have said that, but not me. You seem to be the one who changes your view as ofen as you change your shirt. I gather you were the one who contacted rikofold and begged him to involve not 606 in tonight's meeting. Then when he did so, you attacked, belittled and undermined the initiaitve at every opportunity and then started demanding the exclusion of people you don't like, as if you were Duchatalet's secret agent. Will we see you at tonight's meeting as you have had more to say about it than anyone? And were you there last night?
Who cares who Reams is happy with or not? Let him say what he needs to over on ITTV and as always - we'll do us.
Super - the You Tube video of last night's meeting is now up. Any chance you could post it on here ? 53 min and 106 min are good
with regards to luzon being at reading, I am happy for him to dodge PR events as long as he delivers the goods on matchday, we nullified Brentford, by being very organised and stopping their delivery into the box from the wings (it was clearly their tactic, and we had their number). If we repeat that performance because Luzon has prepared well, even if it means him never speaking to fans in vip meetings I am happy. We will see friday whether his tactics are right again or he was lucky last sat. Havent had time to watch the whole video yet, but KM has dodged the obvious issues in her answers so far....... Cant wait to watch the rest
