Well we don’t agree on everything but one thing we can agree on, no real excuses over the next 4 games.

Yes we are 1 point above a relegation place but only 3 points away from a top ten position, it simply must be top 10 after those 4 games unless other teams, out of our control, stop us.

We have two downside, a big one with Wickhams injury and a minor one in Larssons ban, not minor in the game he misses but minor in how many he misses.

We are now a more settled side coming of the back of a good win at Bolton, good fight back against Villa and a very good team performance at Old Trafford.

We have a two week break to recharge batteries, get rid of minor injuries, prepare for the games ahead.

Everyone, including our manager, has seen and cant argue with how affective 4-4-2 is and playing player in their best positions.

We certainly don’t have any easy games but we do have 4 winnable games, 3 at home.

Finaly the players, the management and the fans all fully understand the importance of these 4 games so must be 100% ready for them.

There really can be no excuses.

Anything less than 9 points from the next 4 games will be a failure syd, 3 at home are where we should pick up those points. Having said that how many teams on bad runs come to us and turn their seasons around? Bruce has got to play 4 4 2 and, as you say playing players in their preferred positions. We cannot rely on other teams doing us a favour it's all down to us now and as you rightly say no excuses (however I can feel Bruce getting them ready now).

To be fair syd we have played well in the last 3 games and, we have to build on those games now and start getting away from the drop zone. Another crap weekend coming up with the over paid prima donnas doing their bit for England so this place will be very quiet yet again. Unless Cest can tice a few stalkers into biting not something he's used to mind.

I agree, we need to be looking to win all these games, have to go unbeaten in these 4 in my book.

Unbeaten? not good enough imo, we could be unbeaten and only get 4 points.

8 points for me - 2 wins and 2 draws.

I agree it wouldn't be good enough - 8 points is a minimum we should take from these games

Now that we seem to have a more settled side and playing 4-4-2(IMO the only way for us to play) I'm confident that we'll get 9 points out of these games; anything less is not good enough. We need to get to a position where we're not constantly looking over our shoulders.

If we don't get a couple of wins in these upcoming games ill be getting very worried. Don't want to turn it into Bruce out but if we are within touching distance of the bottom 3 after these 4 games Bruce should be shown the door. One big problem.we have is that I don't think we are capable of winning two in a row under Bruce, even if it was back to home games against the bottom 2 i think wed win one and lose or draw the other.

    I see;
    Fulham-draw
    wigan- win
    wolves-lose
    blackburn-win

7 points from 4 games, I wouldn't be overjoyed but content.

Good article Syd, and one which I veryu much concur with...I didn't expect anything from Man U, and in the end thought we were unlucky not to get a point.. However, if we are not to have an almighty battle to stay in this division, we have got to start winning our home games.

There have been definate signs of improvement in the last few games. However, imo we are still giving away far too many free kicks.

Without counting back I would hazzard a guess that most of the goals we have conceded have come from set pieces.

We are not very good at defending them. Surely this is something that can be corrected on the training ground?

We've been like that for 2 or 3 years now.

Just had a message from Jenthesaint. Southampton are looking to offload one of their moody cloggers.

    Don't tell Bruce!

    LOL.

In 4 games time were going to know what kind of season were in for. I want 9 points, I would maybe accept 7 but anything less and its a bit of a disaster.

I think 9 is the minimum TBH but we are more than capable.

Why less than 10? If Bruce is this all singing all dancing super manager, then surely we can expect to beat the likes of Fulham, Wigan and Blacburn at home and sneak a draw at Wolves? These are clubs struggling as much as we are but with home advantage only expecting 2 wins or so is not good enough.

3 years ago or so maybe yes but not now with all the money and time Bruce has had in the last 3 seasons and the expectations that after finishing 10th (as all his supporters keep telling me he did through good management), 3 hme wins and 1 away draw is the abslute minimum I am expecting.

Ask yourself this, what would Alan Pardews minimum be for the same fixtures for our friends up the road? It certainly wouldnt be 2 wins and a draw and 7 points thats for certain?

With Villa, City and Everton to come afterwards, anything less than 10 points and we are ****ed totally this campaign imo. We could well go into the new year with less than 20 points if we are not careful and we all know what a shambles Bruce makes of the 2nd half of campaigns dont we? After all he has had 3 successive 2nd half slumps, one with Wigan and two with us in the last 3 years.

I am really, really concerned about our EPL status this season under Bruce, even if many of you here are not yet.

I will be if we don't get 9 points from the next 4 games. The reason I said I could maybe accept 7 is if something geso wrong that's out of our control ie a beach ball type incident, Turner at Liverpool etc.....

10 is what I expect, 3 wins and a draw.
