warnock has always said he could deliver with backing from the board, well now he has. he's got the players he wants so really the buck stops with him. I'm thrilled with the people we got in but I pray we're not on this board next April saying we need a point or better from old Trafford
let give em few matches, let them gel, then see what happens. Wereef better than the two animals, swans and canaries
As COLIN said this morning "our squad wasn't big enough or strong enough". A blind man could have seen that. Now that we've signed the half dozen or so quality signings that we NEEDED, there's no reason why we can't consolidate our Prem status this season. 17th would still be a very successful season and with the quality of manager we have, I think we'll achieve it. Great work from our Nelly.
The manager's real work begins now, and let's not kid ourselves; it won't be easy getting this squad pulling together until they're all crystal clear about their roles. Until the new guys bed in and that will take a while I don't see our results improving much. This season is all about survival and let's forget about mid table notions.
All very confusing on here today, Inky being negative, Swordster being positive?? A little harsh Ink, whilst we have massivbely strengthened I still dont seee us getting much out of Man U Liverpool City and possibly Chelsea. That of course assumes we don't pick up any injuries. In my book the recent arrivals will hopefully increase our odds of Premiership survival but lets not get those Europa League flights booked just yet.
17th and survival would make me happy. We still don't have a really solid centre back pairing. Gabbidon and Ferdinand are good players but a bit erratic at times and if one of them gets injured the alternatives are far worse. That said, defence aside, the team is looking strong. Barton is the key signing imo.
Short and concise and perfectly put Twins. And I'd still put you right up there in Broadmoor! Gotta love ye Oddball!
Most of the squad are together at the moment. Warnock might take advantage of the International break and pack them all off on a little jaunt down to Cornwall.
i always said 14th to 17th should be our aim and nothing would change my mind, Neil has a job on his hands to get a talented bunch of individuals playing as a team, given time he will succeed, in Neil we trust.
I'm not being negative just saying that we now have a squad we couldn't have dreampt about and it's down to nw. this is now the time he earns his money. getting these guys to gel and hopefully winning. I'm stating the obvious really!!
