Hopefully a dominant centerhalf and quick forward recruited before the forest game and some positivity, We are all behind you Del!!!

But please Delboy, 15,000 managers in the crowd last season can`t be wrong!

1, Please don`t play 2 left footed centerbacks again, they are disjointed, don`t inspire confidence in the back four and can`t produce forward momentum, the ball just keeps coming back, plus its totally unfair on Fontaine to play him on the right.
2, What has the management got against James Wilson, the best defensive prospect since Gary Collier, If we can`t get a dominant center back stick him in with Fonts and let him progress, I dont remember him letting us down.
3, Why didn`t we make full use of the subs against Gillingham, why bring Anderson in ( who looked bright against Saints) if we are not going to play him.
4, Sign on Mark Wilson (ex Celtic) very impressive defender in the friendlies.
5, If we cant get the creative midfielder we need, (hopefully Morris had an off day last night), we must play Elliot and Skuse in the middle.
6, All the best teams have winners in the team, Sadly the best chances in the last 2 home games fell to Woolford who doesn`t consistantly produce and sadly Pitman was anonymous against the gills, with Stead drifting wide perhaps we should try Taylor with him (when he`s fit), and when are we going to see some forwards making diagonal runs and recieving balls on the front foot, our forwards are so static with their backs to goal and a defender up their backside.

But it could be alot worse, we could be going to the mem on saturday!

Judging by the boards, the '15,000 managers' each have there own opinion about what formation we should play, who should play where, who we should get rid of, and who we should buy.

We seem to forget the manager and his team see these players on a daily basis, and while it can be difficult to see the 'wood from the trees' sometimes, they know better than anyone who's got the right attitude in training, what formations they have been performing best in, and who is most likely to deal well against whatever threat the opposition have according to the scouts.

Having said that I do feel maybe Del was a little complacent against the Gills and possibly assumed they might have been as **** as the Scottish lower division sides. maybe del did it on purpose because he knew fans would start thinking we were going to win the league/cup double?!

In conclusion, who gives a **** about the Mikey Mouse cup - any kick up the arse before the league season starts is a good thing!

Sadly the Mickey Mouse cup was a dress rehersal for the big one against Forest, we knew we could`t win it but hey neither did cardiff last year who played liverpool at wembley. It was a game to finalise tactics, formations, etc etc in a competitive game.
Yes you are right, the manager knows best, but rodney marsh, Matt Le Tiss, Jackey Jack etc didn`t train well but boy could they produce the goods on the day.
Hopefully it was a kick up the backside, we will see a different attitude against Forest, nothing against either player but just hope Tanga and Fonts aren`t paired together as the balance is not right, if they are hopefully skuse will be infront of them protecting the back four.
