2,203 fans to a 25,000 capacity arena which costs £10k a month - and they turned down £390k from a mystery investor, apparently because they want the fans to own and run it. Sad story.
Maybe he was a fan and they didn't know it. Football as we used to know it is dead and buried. Thank God the county cricket season is upon us. You wouldn't see Michael Yardy trying to nut Jimmy Adams, after giving Sean Ervine a dead leg. (I'm not so sure about Dominic Cork and Chris Adams though!)
They might as well have whacked an AFC in front of their name because they've basically reformed at the bottom here. The fans seem to think that they can run the club from the bottom, good luck to them. Meanwhile a 25,000 seater sits empty, and I wonder how long they will wait before it gets turned into a car park. They want to get back through the leagues as quickly as possible, well they are not the only ones there.
Kettering have also been forced to drop 2 divisions. Relegated from the Blue Square Prem they are not allowed to join Conference North or South and will be playing in the Southern League Premier Division. On a different note... http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/147842-Glut-of-Southern-sides-at-level-6! ( a blatant ad for a thread on a quiet board )
