All of Doncasters statements are predicated on creditors agreeing a CVA, however, HMRC have a policy on tax evasion of liquidating and selling assets.
WHyte will not part with his shares and he owns Ibrox etc and has secured his holding over them by transferring the ownership to Liberty.
Court cases to ensue, Whyte v Ellis, D&P v C&B, Newco v Whyte, HMRC v Newco/Whyte. All of this will take years after appeals are taken into consideration.
Newco have nowhere to play and.........fans may not follow follow.
All liquidated clubs which have not been able to agree a Newco have virtually disappeared as such.
Uefa Fair Play will intervene as they did in the case of Sion and now Switzerlands top 4 clubs to relegate them from Super League.

Unlikely a Newco will gain access to SPL as such and may not even form at all given the above. TV deal downgraded drastically.

SPL clubs start to go into admin and eventually liquidation as creditors may not permit CVAs

Future of Celtic..........................a unique case...................league as such has collapsed.
Uefa on the grounds of a special case permit Celtic to apply to FA or even Dutch FA.

I believe that this is a real possiblity......not probability, but possible. Newco is not as easy a road as the media are presenting it. HMRC will demand, under Millers scenario, a bond for future tax, VAT and NI liabilities based on previous year. Where would they play? Div 3 - No Ibrox, No MP, cannot afford to rent Hampden as fans will not turn up to watch Newco v Alloa etc.

This could all work out very much in Celtic's favour in the long run.

And what about the other domestic clubs? The SPL will expand to allow entry to other members surely.

Celtic have stood on their own two feet for years - the SPL is practically worthless in terms of competition money and TV deal so any reductions there will have little effect. Granted there may be a slight loss of interest from fans with no Rangers to hate, but during the 80's when Rangers were at their previous lowest the SPL was much more competitive and attendance numbers everywhere but Ibrox were at their highest for years.

Do not fear change, just because all the huns in the world keep telling us we need them doesn't make it true.

I suppose there is a possibilty of all the above happening but I'll be honest and say I don't think we will see Rangers vanish and that I don't particulary want Celtic to play in England.

How can they survive??? Where do they play??? What about all the interconnected and complex court cases to untangle the mess??? What about HMRC????

As to playing in England......................ok thats an opinion many will have, however, we may have no option if we are to survive as a force. Once THEY are gone, the other SPL vultures, if they survive, will circle and vote for a larger share of the TV deal, whatever that may be and a 50% share of all gate money. Try competing in Europe under those conditions.

Rangers can't survive. They are finished.

(One of) The new club(s) will play at Ibrox and pretend to be Rangers (imo).

i have to agree. there will be a newco who will play at ibrox. there will also be a massive pr opperation to convince everyone that the newco is the same as the old team and that history still stands.

i also believe they will be in the spl next year, however, i believe that the next 5 years or so will be a real test for them. They will have no money for players and will be unable to play in europe for 3 years. plus there will be some form of points deduction for 2/3 years. lot of pain ahead down ibrox way

Unless, of course, a billionaire whos wealth is off the radar and happens to be a poker player out of the top drawer comes in and buys them.

It looks like Miller who is reported to have been an adviser to Whyte.
