After reading YEP and on here and all the ramblings on a new manager, do you really think its going to change a thing??

Bates (w4nker) isnt going to suddenly change his attitude and spend money or pay better wages - So no change in my eyes.... Just another wasted season.

If he does get a decent Manager they wont last as they will realise what a piece of work he actually is and end up having players sold from underneath them and no proper wage money paid.

Poison Chalice this club is for any Manager.

I do try to have some positive points of view but re this situation - I have none.

I know a lot on your board wanted shot of Grayson for some time, but I have some sympathy for him. As you say, he's had his best players sold from under him, very little money, but kept you on the edge of the playoffs. A new manager may get 10% more out of the players, but is that enough?

I've an idea that bates has pulled a fast one. Why sack your manager at the end of the transfer window? Only to stop a new guy asking for money. Loans are what are left, but will wages prevent that?

I hope this one doesn't bite you on the bum. Forrest fans wanted shot of Billy Davies for a long time. I bet they wish they had him back now!

Unless you can get someone like Warnock who knows this league inside out (feel a bit sorry for him, if he'd had the budget Hughes got, I'm sure he'd be further up the league) or Dave Jones who can build a team on freebies (discounting last season's loan fiasco) I'm not sure you'd be better off than with Grayson. Both of those would want big salaries which Papa Smurf is unlikely to pay. Most of the others out of work have been one hit wonders (Ian Dowie springs to mind). You may fall lucky or end up a lot worse off.

Evening Ken & others. Do I think things will change? Yes I do. I just think we have a squad capable of a top 6, even with the squad we have. The squad has enough talent to get to a minimum of 6th. We aren't far off. All we need is a manager with a bit more nouse, slightly more tactically aware.

Time will tell, but if we get the right manager, we'll make the play offs. If that happens, we can then trim the size of the squad & bring in a couple of players to either keep us in the PL or push on for auto next season

I do hope your right Boggers, i dont mean to sound so depressed.

Thats the only thing re the new manager - A decent manager is not going to A. Want to work with Ken or B. He does risk it then realise what a schmuck the old git really is.

Until the beardy weirdy has gone I think Championship is the best we'll get.

Personally I want either Warnock or Freedman... I know Warnock is not most peoples cup of tea but he's not a wet lettuce like Grayson was plus he has got previous decent C V. I also reckon his tactics would be sound - Could they work togeather? I doubt that very much.

Ken Barlow, In all honesty mate i dont think you fully understand what the role of a manager is and what the role of a chairman actually is.
