Paul Lambert gives his views on the type of player he will look for, 'to give the lads a hand' in January! Don't you just love this man? http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...-his-canary-boat-the-team-sails-on-together/?
i think we all know the man enough to know that there was never any chance he'd set his sights on 'big time charlies' don't we? one question dave, how do you reckon lambert will cope when he does get his hands on some 'big time charlies', as eventually no doubt he will when he moves on to one of the biggest clubs either here or abroad? to a degree, the martin o'neill comparison is played out again here as i never got the feeling o'neill would have coped well at a man united or a chelsea, whereas leicester was perfect for him - even at villa, he never quite won them over. celtic is obviously a big club but are effectively the equivalent of a leicester when you think of the players they could attract. will his philosophy transfer to big name players? not so sure. anyway, i'm sure he is here for a good while yet but just made me think!
I have to say, supers, I think, where ever he goes, he will want the team playing for each other, I think it's embedded in his psyche! I don't think he knows any other way! We can only hope that he realizes the stumbling block of moving to one of the bigger clubs, and so stays with us for EVER please log in to view this image
More than anything this team of Lambert's reminds me of Derby County in the early seventies. That was the way Clough and Taylor built it,players from lower divisions who just turned in the performances week in week out.
