I assume you mean Jelavic but when has anyone called him NJ?! And you need to work on your subject headers. Maybe something informative like 'Jelavic injury update' wouldve worked well. Just a suggestion, like.
You have to remember that 8 weeks means he will return for a game but won't be fully recovered - spend 2 weeks mysteriously not playing after this which we all question, then be out again for another 6 - 8 weeks when we found it's flared up again.
It would be a big loss but we do have players who should be able to step up to the plate - make or break time for some maybe.
"8 weeks" "Good authority", my arse. Hull City have been dealt a blow with the news that Nikica Jelavic and Michael Dawson will both be sidelined for 4-6 weeks with injuries suffered last weekend. Jelavic, who has four goals to his name so far this season, pulled out of the Tigers’ 2-2 draw at Arsenal after damaging his knee in the pre-match warm-up. Scans have since shown that the Croatian striker tore his medial meniscus, damage which will see him undergo surgery on Wednesday. Meanwhile Dawson was forced off the field in the closing stages at the Emirates with an ankle problem. Scans have revealed a ruptured lateral ankle ligament, and although this can be treated without the need for surgery, the centre back can still expect to be out of action for between four and six weeks. Scans of Steve Harper’s shoulder injury have confirmed the Club medical staff’s diagnosis of a torn bicep tendon. Steve will undergo further Read more at http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...lavic-dawson-2030565.aspx#ExSCg56JASoRLhlD.99
Was expecting the worst with Jelavic to be honest so 4-6 weeks is, whilst still a blow, manageable. I was hoping Dawson might have only missed 1-2 games. Points from our next 4-5 games might well hinge on how our fringe squad players perform.
**** and ****e. With Dawson out too Steve Bruce has to switch to 4-2-3-1, it's certainly the best way of utilising the players we have available.
I've torn my medial meniscus twice, the first time causing some damage to the ligament which meant I couldn't play until I'd had surgery, but the second time I did it in the same knee it was a clean tear so with painkillers I could actually play on the tear and was back playing rugby within 3 weeks of surgery. Obviously there's no rush for Jela but I'd be surprised if he was out for as long as 5 weeks unless it's a really serious tear or they find some other damage to the knee whilst they're in there.
Good news if true...when Bruce said twisted knee post match interview i was thinking of Snodgrass type injury(twisted knee)?
Nah, the 352 fits the personnel we have. Elmo and Robertson are shackled in a back four. Swap Dawson for Bruce or McShane and promote Maguire to the bench. The experience will do him good.
