... have been sacked so far this season, and it's only mid October. Surprisingly, Russell Martin isn't amongst them. The " sack Martin " advocates, who dominate this Forum, must be absolutely livid, being denied their wish to be rid of him. Celebratory " sack " parties have had to be cancelled. How on earth hasn't he been given his marching orders ? " He should have been the first to go ", I hear them scream. So, what is wrong with the Club Owners ? Are they completely oblivious to the disdain and hatred many on here, and elsewhere, have displayed towards Martin ? Hopefully yes, they are, and have shown good judgement in ignoring those who think they know better. The way things are currently progressing, Martin has stemmed the poor results, and the abuse, predictably, has dried up. For now, at least. Things can change quickly, however, and if the team starts to underperform, look out Russell, they are just waiting for you to fail, so they can say " we told you so ". Rumours are rife, and Martin has already been ensconced as favourite for the WBA post recently vacated by the dismissal of Steve Bruce. Albion would be a considerable step up, and if offered the post, he should give it more than a little consideration. Too many Swansea City followers simply don't deserve him.
