Promotion from within has been mentioned - any chance he could step up?

Making his mark with the Dev squad and can certainly hold his own talking about the game to the media etc. Speaks very well and I've been impressed by what I've seen of him.

Give him the caretakers role (I know we've got Gabbidon/Young for a minute), no lose situation.

I'd take him right now over Gabbs and Young for tomorrow. He's been with the club a while now, and unless there's an announcement imminent, I'd have put him in charge for tomorrow.

Experience is whats needed for us. Inexperience will see us drop a division imo. I genuinely cannot understand why we wouldn't consider Pulis. It's beyond me that we aren't even speaking to him.

Sorry Jay, how do you know we're not talking to Pulis?

I don't believe Pulis is out of the frame either.

Putting Gabbidon and Young in charge for tomorrow is a bizarre decision bordering some of those made by Ole himself - Terroso would have been a much better fit.

I'm hoping this is because someone (maybe Pulis) has already been lined up to take control next week, otherwise, Gabbidon should have been consigned to a support role for Young's boss Terroso - Young should have been left to help out with the Dev squad in Terroso's absence.

"The former Stoke and Crystal Palace boss was favourite with bookmakers and many fans to take over from Solskjaer, but he is not an option that appeals to Tan, reports BBC Sport's David Ornstein."

I doubt this guy has got any idea what Tan wants. That report means nothing Jay - pinch of salt time there pal.

Having said that, it may be a leaked softener to save face from the Tan camp because Pulis has already turned him down. <doh>

In fairness my mate is the players chef and he said Pulis turned down the terms offered, but doesn't mean to say we wont come back with an improved offer.

With no obvious link to either club, I suspect Glenn Roeder wasn't at the last game because he was at a loose end on what to do on a Tuesday evening. If not a managerial candidate then he could be our new director of football. :emoticon-0114-dull:

Pulis will be in line for a Prem job soon I imagine. I would not be against Nilton as a caretaker with the possibility of being offered the position if he seems capable.
