    “Nile Ranger thought I was Scottish,” said Løvenkrands, in an accent which owes much to the six years he spent at Glasgow with Rangers and the wife he married there. “We were playing Arsenal away and we were warming up in the corner, Nicolas Bendtner comes running down and obviously we start talking to each other in Danish.

    “Then when he ran away again Nile turned to me and said ‘Do you talk Danish?” and I said ‘WHAT? What are you talking about.’ Then he said ‘But you are ........Scottish, aren’t you?’

    “All the time I have been here and because of my Scottish accent, he just presumed that is where I was from. He never realised I was Danish. I told all the lads afterwards and they were all laughing. They have been taking the mick out of him ever since.”

    I just love that Lovenkrands has been here for nearly 3 years and Ranger has at no point asked him where he's from <laugh>

    Probably Harper, as you can see a lot of them dont look too bright.

    I'd say Harper is up there, Barton seems intelligent if not intellectual!

    In the programme last year, they always used to say Shola or Geremi were the cleverest. Geremi knew something stupid like 8 languages

    Best footballing brain would have to be Barton, very imaginative and a clever passer of the ball. Actual intelligence is harder to say, but Barton again seems surprisingly intelligent in interviews.

    Great story by the way.
