I was there, a very professional performance from wycombe but palace looked poor. Special mentions to lewis, ainsworth and tunnicliffe and also ibe and harris at the end. I was concentrating on the new players and this is what i thought of them:

Ben Harding: Played 1st half, did nothing bad but seemed to have no ambition on the ball and just passed it 2 yards all the time 5/10
James Tunnicliffe: Big, strong and composed - him and winfield were unpassable in the first half 9/10
Joel Grant: Didn't do too much but had 1 good shot 6/10
John Halls: Looked useful, fitted in to lewis' role well and showed a good range of passes 7/10

Sorry theblues, but i disagree with your verdicts on Harding and Halls, i thought it was the other way round, Harding impressed me more than Halls. However both played with different players by their side so it is difficult to tell if one had to do more work dropping back or going forward. The rest I agree with completley, Ibe will not be with us for long based on his short spell last night, when Beaver, Harris and Ibe came on we looked very threatening going forward with bloomfield supporting them. No problems at the back Tunnicliffe was superb, he is a unit!

Sounds quite positive. We cant really make any judgements on the first home friendly but good to see the new guys get a run. Im bored of summer now, I want the season to start.

So are we thinking Tunnicliffe and Winfield at the back with LJ as back up. The centre half partnership is going to be cruicial for us this season and I thought Wunfield and LJ looked good at the end of last season, but it sounds like Wadfather has pulled out another gem - obviously to early to tell for certain.

LJ was his usual self when he came on yesterday, didnt have agreat deal to do but went about his job with professionalism, lest we forget he is an international now, could well be LJ with Tunnicliffe? very hard decision for Waddock but as ever IWWT!

I really enjoyed yesterday's game. A goal would've been nice but hey!

I was impressed with Tunnicliffe as mentioned above. The real eye opener for me was Jorden Ibe - I have never seen him play before and I was amazed. His skill and pace was fantastic. I can understand why Manu are keeping an eye on him.
Considering he is only 15, can Waddock play him in regular league games just the same as regular players. How does it work? Surely he's too young to be employed as a full time player.
