    Ever have a recurring Nightmare?

When I was in a band (you're not the only one Dev) I used to dream that my drum kit was collapsing around me while on stage playing in front of a huge crowd. Never suffered from stage fright though, I was a consummate professional.

I did also have a dream that Iron Maiden invited me to replace Nico McBrain at Donnington Monsters of Rock.

    Which was nice.

I have a recurring dream. Not a nightmare as such, but very frustrating.

I'm playing football. My side's defending a corner and everyone except me is in our penalty area - including the other side's keeper. I'm up by the centre-spot, and the ball's suddenly hoofed upfield over my head. I've got an empty goal in front of me and a 40 yard start on everyone else.

No matter how hard I try, I can never get to the ball in time. It's like there's a big, strong elastic band round my waist slowing me down. I get tantalizingly close to getting a shot away, but someone from the other side always manages to catch me up at the last second. I've got as far as pulling my foot back to take the shot, but that invisible force field holds my foot back. I even managed to boot the wall at the side of my bed one night I was so determined to get my shot in. <wah>

I hate those dreams where someone/something is chasing you and you can't run because you can't quite get your legs to work, in my case it's usually just the one leg that won't run so I end up going in circles. I don't know why.

I've always got a shrivelled nub when I'm about to enter some stunner.

Or I go to the supermarket in a skirt and stilettos.

And, because of some incident with my car, I always miss Charlton winning the FA Cup.

    Same old ****e, different night.

When I was young I had nightmares about falling off our roof .At first I would wake up before impact but eventually I would go into a roll and stand up like it was an Olympic event .
A dozen years later I started my first day as a roofer and forty years after that I ended my last day of roofing

I used to have a recurring dream that a good looking bird was holding a mirror with a couple of big fat lines of Charlie just under my nose. Every time I leant forward for a great big greedy schnuurf, she'd pull the mirror away.

I wonder what deep Freudian significance that could have had?

I have a recurring dream where I'm eating a giant wine gum. When I woke up my hot water bottle was AWOL.

Sorry , not the smartest .
I suppose if I knew what some of these elephantshit and marmalade words meant I wouldn't have had to spend 40 years going up and down a ladder .
Make sure you're kids stay in school .
