Here are a couple of quotes from Nigel mainly about Sven

He clearly thinks Sven did a **** job.

Fair enough points, Sven bought in a few good names, but the balance was well off so the formations suffered.

Sven did you a bad job, just goes to show how much a midfield influences the team! It's not like we are shipping in goals because we still have a plus goal dif, I'll see what happens in the next couple of weeks.

Oh and at least with Sven gone we are no longer being linked with Beckham

Should have kept Sven upstairs on the board.

He clearly knows nothing about this league but his contacts were extraordinary.

    All good points by Nigel.

I'm starting to feel a few concerns about relegation at the moment, we're only ten points away and playing as bad as we did when we went down. I know the league is tight, but teams can just come up against us and not have to do much to win.

I think at the start of the season, other sides were looking for that scalp and giving it the extra effort against us as we were one of the favourites for promotion.

.. but the reality is that, apart from Danns, the midfield, which is not creating chances, are all 'Pearson' players ...

I´ve said it before I´ll say it again. "You now have a chance & money to sort the mess out NP, the ball is in your court"

It´s going to be another season in the npower unless NP pull off a miracle & gets us in & then goes & wins the P.O´s.. which looks a long way off right now. I´ll stick my neck out & say we won´t go up this season so the summers going to be a massive one for NP & LCFC.

The problem with the Jan transfer window is it ain´t long enough so we ain´t going to be able to get to many players in & on the flip side get rid of the deadwood, inwhich we have alot of right now. SGE has left NP with a problen which he´ll need time to sort out.

We need some culture in there, someone who will put their foot on the ball and help the others. I Have no idea who would fit this bill, but then again I'm not in football.

Another thing was the one where he said that 'the performance was indicative of how the club has moved in the last 18 months or so' (i.e. since he left). I was probably guilty of over-estimating this squad's capabilities when it was being constructed by Sven but I do trust Nigel and Walsh to sort it out.

Most of us on here could have made those points to be fair, what about the reason for playing 1 up front at home, the continuing selection of Andy King and where is Michael Johnson?? I feel a little like a mushroom lately with being kept in the dark and then fed 5hit periodically!!!

You cant buy promotion you have to earn it,and i just hope NP is given time to sort these players out and bring in players not that just want the money but want to play for the shirt.

The owners are in so much of a rush for prem footy the pressure will be hard on whoever comes in and i dont see what good it does chopping and changing managers.
    Lets just give NP time.

Just re read my post and it sounds a little anti NP, which I'm not. I would just like a little more open and honestness relating to the playing issues we all see every game. I too hope he gets given time to put a side together but........ I just don't think he will if this current run of form continues. Business men first, football club owners second.

You guys should know as well as we do really, that it takes NP time to make a difference.

He's a methodical, slow burner of a manager who will builds intelligently and deliberately.

I don't expect you will flirt with relegation. You may still challenge for the play-offs, 50/50 I reckon, but you've gotta stick with him as you know as well as I do that he will get it right. Sounds like you have quite a few knee-jerk fans (like us) who expect it yesterday for nothing. Or, even worse, expect it effortlessly, possibly to the financial Armageddon of the club. You need to root these fans out and shame them!

I thought he left us in a ****y fashion, but he's a very good manager and did a very good job for us. We continue to reap the rewards.

You've gotta calm your lunatic fringe down, Nigel does seem to listen to them and allow himself to be affected by it. He was bitter about our moaners. Still approx half a season to go. Ages really.
