Just thought I would let you know what our local media are saying http://www.thisisleicestershire.co....icester-City/story-13697945-detail/story.html
I don't think it wold happen but it's not out the question. No one thought he would leave us and join you but he did But saying that the squad he built has pretty much left. Just Wellens, Gallagher, Dyer and King remain
Don't believe all you read in the papers pal. Last thing I heard was Avram Grant as Director of Football and Ian Dowie as Manager.
I thought one of the key reasons for NP leaving Leicester was that he wasn't impressed that the Leceister board allowed us to talk to him: this made him feel unwanted at the club. I'd expect the Allams and Adam Pearson not to make the same the mistake, and keep hold of one of our best assets!
That's just funny!! Least it proves a point that they shouldn't have got rid of him. Thing is if he went he'd have to buy Matty and Hobbs and cancel Waghorn's loan :emoticon-0140
Cant see it myself. NP is building and creating a very bright youthful side and dont think players like Waghorn, Fryatt and Hobbs would like to be messed around too a bit like the yo yo affect !!! Back & Forth !!! Does make me laugh though, I read a post in the past by some Leicester fans on this board slagging NP off saying they were glad he went etc etc, makes a mockery of it in my book, now they welcome him back with open arms... F*ck wits
^^^^ This NP is a loyal manager and he left Leicester because they didn't return that loyalty to him. I think he knows he's valued here and he is enjoying the long term task of building a successful young City squad.
He (Pearson) didn't leave Leicester he was pushed out and had no choice. Unfortunateley as far as i was concerned at the time but i wouldn't want him back as there are a lot better managers around than him.
I hear Sven Goran Eriksson is available. After the way you treated your last manager the only kind you will be able to attract will be Lower League or the Desperate.
Why would Nigel even consider a return to Leicester? Ever since the takeover at Hull he's been able to build his own playing squad on the solid foundations of the club and this season he has a team capable of mounting a promotion push. We are very much a team that is work in progress, with a long term ambition of becoming a stable Premier League club. To re-join Leicester would mean abandoning one and a half years of hard work which is starting to pay off and starting again at a different club. That would be totally pointless.
I reckon Lee Clark is due a shot at a higher level, whether Leicester would take the chance on him is debatable, but he could do a job for someone in this league.
I was telling Leicester fans on here last week that Sven was useless and they should have kept Pearson, the next day he was sacked and now I see they want Pearson back, it's a funny old world. The Leicester fan saying there are plenty better managers out there, well you might get lucky but I doubt it, with your money you should go up regardless of manager.
It's definitely going to be a hard decision appointing the next Leicester manager. There is no obvious choice, except from O'Neill who doesn't want the job. Davies, Dowie and Jones have track records of taking clubs up to the Premier League however they also all have records of not being able to keep them there. Lee Clark, Dougie Freedman and Karl Robinson have also done a good jobs at Huddersfield, Palace and MK Dons respectively, but none of them has any trophies or promotions to show from it. Hughes and Di Matteo are also both good options, but what's to say either would have an interest in managing Leicester at this given time? I certainly don't envy the Leicester board.
