Nigel Spink appointed till end of the season as GK coach.

So much for Jammo as a coach..?

Spink til season's end then Jammo takes over? I expect it'll depend on whether Jamo gets a new playing contract or not, being our 1st choice keeper as well as gk coach wouldn't make a lot of sense.

OK,good news but with all of our crippling injuries mounting, our severe lack of quality in the squad for what ever reason, looming relegation battle and indifferent players approaching the end of their contracts.....?

We increased the board of directors,we increased the management and coaching staff,we increased support and administration staff..

Where oh where in a time of crisis are the new players we all know we need a midfielder,a defender and maybe even a striker, splash the cash, get the loanees in and save our season and KEEP US UP.

    Up the City..

Am I missing something.... with all due respects to Nigel Spink, what can he offer to Dean Gerkin and David James with his pedigree.
The goalkeeper spot is the one we have fewest problems with.

Surely if a coaching spot is available what about a coach on-
    how to take corners -
how to take free kicks outside the box -
how to clear a ball out of defence-
how to keep possesion of the ball

I agree that we need to improve on the other things.
But if you take Golf as an example no matter how good they are they still need coaches, DJ and DG have been plodding along with no one to see their errors and point them in the right direction. Also to motivate them in training. We also have young goal keepers that need coaching.
Still think this is until the summer then DJ will take up the reins

You could do worse, he was our coach under Bruce and he would fill the goal these days
