When NP joined City last season I thought "now here's a manager I'm not too keen on" and as the season progressed and things got worse all my worries were coming to fruition. Then things started to change, except at the home games, but I thought I might be wrong here, he may be better than I thought and on a D/mail thread I actually said so. Now I have a similar feeling as I did when he first came. Our future apponents seem to be making tremendous signings and we are not. I just hope that I am proved wrong but I can't see us doing much better than last season.
I'm here, don't worry. Gotta agree with the sentiments of the OP, Nigel Pearson made it quite clear when he first started that he didn't really want to be here, he's done nothing to change my mind. We got lucky with 11th last season, I don't think we'll go down next season, but I don't think we'll finish in the top half either.
Whose making tremendous signings? Other than West Ham, who have to be favourites to go up, i can't think of many. Leicester have brought in a keeper and signed Peltier. The rest have sold players.
Sorry, I'll rephrase it: I understand...
Utter bollocks. I remeber he said he left Leicester because he didn't feel wanted and that was not the case at Hull.
He told me he was very pleased to have joined us and was very much looking forward to the challenge. Isn't that what he told you? No, because you've never met him and just make up clueless bollocks instead. Anyone can do that. I think your dad ****s sheep and you're the result.
if we are still in this position in a month's time, then i will prepare myself for another season of mid-table mediocrity, which is no more than i expecta nyway. At the monent, they are all on their holidays and I know that Nigel Peason wont be leaving his 8 berth at Sands la Mere at Tunstall till Saturday and they dont have any broadband there. So theres plenty of time for all or nothing yet before the season starts.
He said basically "I'm here because Leicester don't want me", I remember his first interview and that's all he talked about, which to be fair is an improvement on his new interview tactic of saying "people, will, have, their, opinions Burnsy" whilst smirking arrogantly after yet another piss poor performance at home.
i met him and he seemed like a well motivated manager with a clear remit, as well as a good strategic football head on his shoulders. I reckon the only way he will leave is if a) the allam deal turns out to be less than its glossed up to be and we go pop after all, or b) a Premier club with money to throw at him turns up. Oh and c) he accepts the England job when the italian fella goes home!
Well obviously City weren't going to say "Here's a contract. We don't want you, by the way.", but the way he banged on about made me feel he didn't really want to be here and would have preferred to stay at Leicester. He told me that.
In reality though, what else would Nigel Pearson say to a random City fan he'd happened to meet? Nobody's stupid enough to slag off their employer, except Tony Warner.
