This guy did a sterling job at the foxes in the championship, and did very well in the prem. Free at present would be a good manager, knows the league and is right on the pulse at present. This could be a excellent replacement if cotts cannot turn it around, which sadly i don't think he will. Great memories last season, but this is a new dawn with a brand new shiny stadium, the feel good factor has gone,it needs addressing sooner rather than later.
I don't think that the problem we have is entirely down to Cotts. Yes, playing 3-5-2 hasn't worked well so far in this league, but our main failure happened in the transfer market. Changing the manager could possibly have the opposite effect to what we want and seal our relegation back to League 1. Although we are bottom, the league is so tight at the moment we are 1 win from safety and 3 from the playoffs, so yes, things are NOT good - but they are far from critical - for the moment. Don't forget that it took a few wobbly seasons for SAF to get Man Utd sorted - and their fans were on his back during that time.
Would be a great replacement but Cotterill doesn't need replacing. Pretty appalling that you've give the guy who kept us from going into league 2 and then won us the double only 10 games in the championship.....
You happy what you are watching, something has to change and pretty dam quick. As said there is something not right at the club,i am not anti cotts but he is soooo stubborn, sadly it is not working. Seen this scenario to many times and we must not go back to league 1.
Don't want this **** anywhere near my club, even if he does have a very good record. Let's bear in mind that Cotts is likely to be given a fair bit of a time. Firstly due to the fact that he did so well with us last year, and secondly, due to the fact that much of our problems are caused by the boards cock ups in the transfer market.
i reckon he got two games forest and brighton. i do blame the owner, and board, and their management team. Complete and utter mess they have put us in.
It would be stupid and an injustice to sack Cotts, I hope SL does not even contemplate it at this moment, this guy just gained promotion as Champions, a bit more backing and loosening of the purse strings and he'll get us back on an even keel, the higher we get the greater the cost to stay, surely our board can see that it ain't bleedin' rocket science.
SL has a history of being pretty patient with managers- He must be given time, frankly, after last season I find it difficult to understand that his head is being called for. Pearson, in my opinion is more likely to go to Sunderland.
Sam Allardyce is going to be Sunderland manger, shame really as he will take one player who could steady the ship in midfield Kevin Nolan. As to this thread, what a ****ing plank you are RR. I'm sure you're Italian you change sides like the weather.
We have a Manager and this shows the man who WON SOMETHING for Bristol City a huge amount of disrespect. This is real life not Championship Manager (though before some wag says it - yes I know he is a Championship Manager!!)
We have been here before with GJ, and i loved his passion, but the reality is if we carry on for the next 30 games in the same manner we are back where we started. That is not good, especially with this big new fancy stadium being built. I don't see how it will change,no change in formation,no signing coming in,we are up the river without the paddles.
