Be a bit harsh to sack him after what he ha achieved for you.

Should be intresting - good luck <ok>

Whilst currently bottom of the Prem the club is in great shape. U21's and U18's going very well, training ground first class and a good young squad in the first team. This is all thanks to Pearson who as we know has transformed the place. To get rid now is crazy as it then becomes a lottery. I think before January comes we will see an improvement but with one or two additions at that time we can comfortably survive. I hope.

Need to realise this is his first season in the prem and he's still finding his feet to an extent, as are most of the players. Like you say one or two signings in January should freshen things up, but what's going on behind the scenes is pretty important and impressive too. Even if we go down I'd stick by him, don't think the team would get cherry picked by other prem teams, schmeichel and Mahrez maybe, but now he's got this daft four central midfielders out of the way and we're playing with some width, I think we'll gradually climb back up the table. Onwards and upwards!

I would think that the owners gave Pearson one target to hit before the season started, and that would be to remain in the Prem. At this stage of the season he is not delivering. Most important we have failed to beat the sides that we will be competing with at the bottom end of the table. Some of Pearson's selections and substitutions have left us all mystified and frustrated, and have actually made it more difficult for the players to succeed.

If we are having to pin hopes of survival on being able to attract good replacements in the January transfer window then we are in trouble. Firstly will the owners trust Pearson's judgement to spend more of their cash based on where his team is now, and what good players are going to want to come and play in a relegation dog fight and at what cost?

I know we are in good shape behind the scenes, but the owners have stated that they do have high expectations for the club, and we need to be in the Prem in order to be able to carry this on.

I really hope we can get at least 2 points out of the next 2 matches, because I desperately want to see the team do well, especially after waiting 10 years to get here and the expectations we had after cruising the Championship and the way we performed in our early season matches. If we don't get the points then I think Pearson is in trouble and it's a problem of his own making. Although even if we do get the points I'm not confident that Pearson won't end up repeating his errors at some point in the future.

He's new at this level, it'll just take him time to adapt.

Look at how long it took him to get it right in the Championship... But in the end, boy, did he half get it right!

The thing is, can we allow Pearson this time? Failing in the Championship meant another season in the Championship next season... Failing here, means relegation, which is a price our owners may not be willing to pay...

Besides, it's not just Pearson who does this, and makes these strange team selections and substitutions that us fan folk can't fathom...

Hull are throwing the same complaints at Bruce, with all his experience.

I'm sure the Dramas were doing the same a few weeks ago too. "Why are we playing Traore when we have Yun!?" et al...

Seeing what has happened at the Dramas, and more importantly Newcastle, shows just what a difference a few weeks makes. We may be bottom, but only a win away from being 14th/15th. All we need is to put a string of decent results together. It may seem unlikely at the moment, but again, just take a look at Newcastle... I'm sure they felt the same!

I really can´t see the point in sacking him this season. "say we do go down" give him this season, winter & summer window & until this time next season & then look at things again & see how we are doing back in the championship. If we´re having a blinder then as you were, but on the other side if we´re mid to low table then may be a change in in order.

I really don´t want to have another manager-merry-go-round again.

I personally do not want him sacked, some of his tactics have been questionable, but its been his ethics and management that have seen us get to this level in the first place.

I think his extended contract negotiations at the end of last year would see Vichai pay through the balls if he got rid of him this early on in the season, so hopefully they can trust him again and let him spend in January.

Nigel being charged might help us. We need to create a siege mentality, everything is going against us at the minute and we can get out of it but it will be hard

Strangely - the availability and impact of a fit Matthew Upson could be a turning point (and also save Nigel's job) - I doubt we would have conceded such an equaliser to Villa with Upson organising the defensive line ... fine margins but we have taken the lead in each of our last 3 games only to conced very soft equalisers - in each case this has knocked the stuffing out of what were, up to that point, promising performances ...

make you spot on, but is Upson the solution who knows all of our other three center backs have looked dodgy at times this season but I think a couple of faces coming in in the window will lift the team. a defence that looked cool and calm last season but this season with the step up in class have shown we need to strengthen.
