Kiss of death there. Everytime the owners state their "backing" of the Manager, it's not long before they're at the Job Centre.
I hate articles like this. It's very clear with the results that he won't have unconditional support of the owners- they'd have to be complete idiots judging on our current form. So why bother publishing this article, it just stokes the fires some more.
It seems the majority of Foxes fans "believe" and most can see what Pearson is trying to build here, a young and talented squad. We have come unstuck big time though the last few weeks and the same players that were playing great, attractive football just over 2 months ago and the majority of us had no complaints but now they are not good enough, I understand the fickle mentality of all football fans and sometimes Leicester fans can be some of the worst for this to find something to moan about and boy has this latest dismal run given them plenty of fuel to throw on the fire. I really hope that they can surprise us all on Saturday and make something happen to get a win, it would be a major boost and perfect timing to get back in the top 6, somewhere we have been the whole season until now. Wishful thinking....maybe, but hey lets give it a damn good go and get some pride and passion back in playing for that blue shirt. 6 cup finals, regardless of the run we are currently on, we are more than capable of getting 3 or 4 wins from them. Nigel......over to you. Last chance saloon my old mate.
Im always sad to see managers go... Bad news is never nice. But im happy pearson is staying. Puts a smile on my face.... Is it possible the players dont want us to get promoted?
"Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has confirmed he has the full backing of the club's owners in the wake of speculation about his job being under threat". Am I reading that right - Nige has given himself a vote of confidence?
We have to look at it in context too- the good spells we have had seem to be negated by the bad. By that I mean, the fact we won a handful of games but are now on a losing run, it seems to be worse than before. Had we been on a really poor run at the beginning of the season, like Forest, and picking up points now then who would care? You still, in the long run of things, end up with the same number of points. It's a very short-term view of our club that many possess. Nothing has really changed since January, and players can pick up poor form. The only question is: when?
