... some of his more bizarre antics may come back to haunt him ... Will hinge on our internal 'code of conduct' and whether he has been in breach ...

All that would depend if the club disciplined Nigel for it at the time. You cant ignore it and one day so you know what we have had enough

If hes being an arse about his son being sacked, i cant see him getting very far with legal action.

I dont think its coincidence that they all came back to work before he was fired, probably would have been the first time they would have had a staff meeting since his son had been fired, no doubt that meeting didnt go well.

You can - basically you can have a "accumulation of infractions" or something like that.

Basically the straw that broke the camel's back.

Happened to a mate of mine - made a big mistake that cost the company but nothing major was made of it until he did something ridiculously minor a few months later and was fired.

... as an employee the onus is on you to both learn and comply with codes of conduct etc ... the law isn't always 'fair' ... a point I was trying to make above ... it will come down to facts i.e did he break rules he either was aware of or should have been aware of ...if he did then he really won't have a challenge unless the code of conduct (rules themselves) could be exposed as 'unlawful' (in employment law terms) in the first place ...

We will never get to the truth to what made the owners to sack NP. I would imagine the owners will pay up his contract, Pearson will walk in to any Championship hot seat and we will move on.

I think he's proven he could do a job in the Premier League.

They also called the women "hookers". As that ever been established? If not, that's almost as degrading as the original incident!
