... QPR sacked Chris Ramsey yesterday ... might be an attractive proposition for Nige as funds would be available for the longer term rebuild and promotion challenge this season probably out of reach now given current position (although not impossible)?
Could be a great job for him, if he is given the time. Not sure how well he will get on with their owner though...?
Nigel comes in for some 'mixed' comments on the 'next manager' thread on their board - many seem to think he could do the job ... even some of those that 'can't stand him'
As we've seen before here, with our very own eyes... Would rather get promoted with someone you may not like, than get relegated with a really funny guy with a nice personality
It will be interesting to see their relationship tbh, if he did (and i think its pretty obvious) leave under the son scandal, Shakey and Walsh didn't walk with him, so i wonder if their relationship is still as strong as it was when they were following him everywhere. To be honest, Shakey and Walsh don't seem to be being left out here and Ranieri is putting alot of faith in them. They will actually be harder to replace than Pearson! Channel 5 Football League program showed the odds and hes favourite for the job.
Would have Pearson in a heartbeat at QPR - still surprised he left Leicester, but it hasn't turned out too bad for you really has it. Great to see Vardy tearing up the league too, to think I'd hope he'd drop a division to us when there were rumours he might go at the start of the year! Now we're not a relegation dogfight together I'd love to see you lads stay up there for the whole season. I'm sure Queens would say so too if he wasn't banned
Great post, thanks Tooting Would like to see NP at QPR actually, if you gave him the time, he could work wonders for you...
Many thanks Tooting ... I think Pearson would be the ideal fit for you guys ... nobody better at clearing out dead wood and those with more ego than ability ... will take him a couple of seasons to complete the necessary surgery, but will then provide you with solid foundations upon which to build ...
I have a horrible feeling he might be tempted by Fulham - a similar club to ours, but much better run (so I wouldn't blame him if he went there instead)
I think the fear for the next QPR manager is what will happen to Austin in the summer, short term he'll have one of the best strikers in the league, but i'd worry that he won't be replaced with a similar talent.
