Just read that QPR are thinking about making a loan bid for him in January.
I know he's not flavour of the month here but would you take him on loan to cover
    Tiote for the ACON.

He is quality in my oppinion.

  2. He'll not be let out on loan. Man City usually play 2 holding/defensive mids each game, and are always rotation and they also have Europa league to focus on.

De Jong will still get games because of squad rotation.

Can't believe that City would let him go. He's the best they have in that position IMO can't understand Macini's love of Gareth Barry.

They play him in CAM though. Plus, I haven't been so impressed with him recently...

  8. Yaya Toure is a holding/defensive midfielder and usually plays behind the attacking line. They play him attacking mid sometimes, but he is a defensive midfield player.

Yaya is a different player, he is at his best when making marauding runs from midfield into the opponent's penalty box. De Jong plays defensively and looks pretty lost going forward.

That was last season. Now that they play two up front and two attack minded players on the wings, Yaya sits back alongside Barry. He only played attacking mid when Barry and De Jong started as well.

  12. Damn good player though, and I'd rather play thug De Jong than Smith or Gosling.

He played CAM against Chelsea on Monday, Barry and Milner were sitting. Balotelli was up on his own with Aguero and Silva wide. I would have assumed that Mancini would consider this his strongest lineup?

  14. If you'd even seen Yaya Toure play, you'd know his best qualities are in his defensive play, mainly bullying players, dispossessing them and holding the ball. Yes he has attacking quality and likes to make runs up the pitch, but his best position is in defensive midfield, because his best qualities are defensive.

    1) Wouldn't want that disgusting ****.

    2) City will lose Toure for a month because of the ACoN so I can't imagine them letting De Jong leave.

De Jong won't be leaving Man City unless they have incoming transfers lined up to replace him.

Yaya is a versatile player. He can play in a defensive / holding midfield role or CAM. But does anyone remember him playing a few games at CB for Barcelona a few years ago? He was quality.

Can you imagine Ben Arfa wanting to be in a dressing room with him? Everyone who watched the Man City TV video of before the game saw the super-awkward 'yes it's ok but it's really not ok' embrace between HBA and NDJ. It would upset the balance of the team, I feel.

Yaya Toure bosses it wherever he plays, and he certainly hasn't done a lot of 'sitting' this season. Top top player.
